Review Summary

Realme has just launched its latest Narzo 60 series in India, which flaunts a fantastic design combined with solid performance. The focus of today’s review will be the Pro variant. Realme Narzo 60 Pro Design and Build

Realme Narzo 60 Pro features a fantastic design on the backside which is quite the same as the design seen on the Realme 11 Pro series. I have the black colour variant with me for the review, which has a shimmering plastic back.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Design

While the backside design looks great for the asking price, it tends to attract fingerprints easily. Well, you won’t face this problem if you go with the orange variant. Moreover, it feels much more attractive, in my opinion.

Nonetheless, both come with the circular camera module on the back, which houses the dual camera setup. The frame is also made of plastic and curved around the edges which gives it a premium feel in hands and a firm grip.

Talking about buttons and ports, the right has the power button along with volume rockers. The top side has the secondary speaker, while the bottom houses the primary speaker, type-C port, and SIM card slot.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Camera

Realme Narzo 60 Pro features a dual camera setup that captures some good looking shots in daylight conditions. You get a 100MP OIS main camera paired with a 2MP depth lens. Yes, you are right; no ultrawide lens on this one. The front side has a 16MP camera for taking selfies.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Camera

The main camera captures some really nice shots in proper lighting. The details on the images are good, and the colours also look punchy. So punchy that sometimes they seem a bit boosted. But yea, it’s pleasing to the eye. The dynamic range was nice and overall images were impressive for the price.

Lack of an ultra-wide lens is noticeable in certain scenarios. I feel like Realme should have given an ultra-wide lens at this price. Keeping that aside, the portrait shots were nice. The background separation was done well, with good details.

Low-light shots were better than I accepted. The noise was kept to a minimum, and details were maintained well.

The front camera captures pleasing selfies. While the details were present, the colours looked a bit faded in some shots.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Battery and Charging

One thing that really impressed me was the battery backup of the Realme Narzo 60 Pro. It packs a big 5000mAh battery that easily lasts for about 2 days on casual usage. Even if you are a heavy user, you will easily survive a whole day with this phone.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Battery

I played BGMI and CoD for hours and it did stay well for a good duration of time. I got more than 6 hours of screen on time on average which is nice.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Charging

The phone comes with an 80W adaptor, but the phone supports 67W fast charging. It takes less than an hour to fully charge from 0 to 100 per cent. A quick charge of just 20 minutes juices the battery to nearly 50 per cent.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Display

Realme Narzo 60 Pro features 6.7 inches AMOLED display that offers a great viewing experience. You get a 120Hz refresh rate along with 950 nits of peak brightness. The screen was easily visible outdoors; however, there was a bit of struggle under direct sunlight.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Display

You can select the refresh rate in the display settings. Standard for 60Hz, High for 120Hz and Auto-Select for automatically switching the best refresh rate depending on the app.

Talking about display quality, Narzo 60 Pro delivers sharp and vibrant colours with good viewing angles. Watching videos on YouTube was nice. I watch the latest seasons of Black Mirror on Netflix, and the display quality combined with the stereo speaker offered a great multimedia experience.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Display quality

You get to see thin bezels around the edges which enhances content consumption, and the curved panel offers a more premium touch to the whole experience.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Performance

Realme Narzo 60 Pro offered a solid everyday performance and did good in gaming as well. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Performance

This is the first time I am testing a device with 1TB of storage under 30K. You also get a RAM expansion feature that lets you expand the RAM by another 12GB which makes a total of 24GB of RAM (top variant). As a result, I downloaded all the huge games, recorded long 4K videos and took multiple shots as I could for testing.

Realme RAM expansion feature

The phone did not disappoint me anywhere. Day to day performance was good. Apps opened up quickly and multitasking was a breeze.

Coming over to gaming, I tried a couple of graphic demanding games like BGMI, CoD and Asphalt 9. All the games ran smoothly on medium to high settings. However, there was a bit of lag on high settings during intense gameplay.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Gaming Performance

I ram BGMI on Smooth + Extreme settings and my gaming experience was great. No noticeable lags and frame drops. The phone also manages to maintain the temperature and not get hot to hold, which is really impressive.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Software and UI

Realme Narzo 60 Pro runs on Realme UI 4.0 skin, which is based on Android 13. You get a bunch of customisation and personalisation option. The UI looks simple and is easy to use. You can play around with different wallpapers, fonts, themes and even customise icons.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro Software

Moreover, you get a bunch of special features like Split Screen, Flexible windows, Smart Sidebar, Quick Launch and a few more. All this is good, but what’s most irritating is the forest of bloatware and constant spammy notifications.

The phone comes along loaded with third party apps like Snapcaht, Dailyhunt, Facebook, Josh, Public, Spotify, Agoda, Hot Apps, Hot Games and many more.

Realme Narzo 60 Pro bloatware

The only way to deal with it is by installing them and disabling the notifications for system apps from the settings.

Verdict

Realme Narzo 60 Pro is a solid phone under 25K which packs almost everything you need. You get good performance, a great display, and a nice camera, which combine to offer a decent package. But why not pick Realme 11 Pro?

Well, you get more storage option of up to 1TB, which is lacking in Realme 11 Pro. Other than that, both the phones are completely the same. I would just recommend getting whichever is cheaper in the market.
