Sennheiser Accentum Plus Wireless Design And Comfort
The Sennheiser Accentum Plus boasts an over-the-ear design and a minimalist plastic build. Furthermore, the headphones have thick silicone padding below the headband and soft leather-like cushions.
The headphone has a minimalist design that can easily blend into your typical office or home environment. There is a small Sennheiser logo on both sides of the band. Furthermore, the left and right earcups are appropriately marked and also have the Accentum Plus branding.

Despite weighing around 227 grams, the headphone feels lightweight, although the plastic build sometimes feels cheap. I suggest handling them carefully, as the plastic yokes and headband don’t inspire confidence.
On the flip side, the headphones are light enough that I forgot most of the time that I was wearing them during my usage. Furthermore, the cushions and headbands provide a strong seal to your ears but not tight enough that you feel uncomfortable after a couple of hours.
The earcups are average-sized, and I found them small for someone like me who has large ears. So, if you have a large head, you must adjust the headphone size and check if it fits.

Furthermore, the earcups can fold flat, so you can conveniently wear them around your neck or put them in the carrying case included in the box. The company also offers an AUX cable to pair them via the trusty old 3.5mm headphone jack.
Sennheiser Accentum Plus Wireless Audio Quality
Sennheiser is known for its premium audio products, and the Accentum Plus Wireless is no exception in terms of sound quality. It has a balanced sound signature with a heavy emphasis on the lows.
Unlike most bass-heavy headphones, this one does not have thumping bass. Although you can turn on the bass boost, it decreases the maximum volume. The vocals sound crystal clear when listening to Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk, and there is proper instrument separation.

Similarly, when listening to Husn by Anuv Jain, I could differentiate between the guitar strings and the vocals, thanks to headphones correctly representing the mids and highs. As I generally listen to Pop songs, I found the Classical preset on the Sennheiser Smart Control app better suited than the Pop preset, which sounds rather muddling.
The sound does not distort even at full volume, and there is a subwoofer-like rumble when listening to bass-heavy songs. Thanks to the balanced sound signature, you can always tweak the equaliser to adjust the headphones to your liking.

When it comes to codec support, you get SBC, AAC,aptX,aptX adaptive,mSBC and CVSD. I set it to aptX HD during my usage. The microphone quality is also excellent, and most people I talked to said my voice sounded crystal clear.
You might face slight issues in crowded areas like a Metro or traffic, where it might struggle to differentiate between the various sources. Overall, I was impressed with the sound and microphone quality of the Accentum Plus wireless.
Sennheiser Accentum Plus Wireless Battery And Charging
The Sennheiser Accentum Plus claims to last 50 hours on a single charge, and during my one week of usage, I was able to use the headphones continuously for four days straight on 40 per cent battery life.
This included listening to four complete Spotify playlists and endlessly watching videos on YouTube.Furthermore, I always kept the ANC on during my usage, and the volume was around 70 to 80 per cent.

However, charging the headphones fully can take a lot of time due to the 800 mAh battery inside. Charging the headphones entirely took me around 3 hours and 30 minutes. Thankfully, a quick charge feature allows you to enjoy 5 hours of playback time with just 10 minutes of charging.
I found that the Sennheiser Accentum Plus can last 50 hours or even more if you tweak the ANC settings. I was impressed with its battery life and did not experience any battery anxiety.
Sennheiser Accentum Plus Wireless Features And Connectivity
Despite being the company’s mid-range product, the Sennheiser Accentum Plus offers plenty of features. It supports Adaptive Hybrid ANC, which can automatically adjust the levels of noise cancellation based on your surroundings.
I found this feature helpful because I did not have to fiddle with the ANC levels constantly. You can further tweak this option by enabling Wind Noise reduction and adjusting the level of transparency mode in phone calls.

The ANC works as advertised and can cancel out most noise in your surroundings, like the noise of an AC or a ceiling fan, although it can struggle in challenging scenarios such as reducing traffic noise.
Furthermore, the headphone pairs via the Sennheiser Smart Control app are available for Android and iOS. You can connect the headphones to two devices simultaneously and select which two devices you wish to pair in the app.

Moreover, the app allows you to choose from various audio presets and create your own via the built-in equaliser. Another option, sound personalisation, enables you to tailor the audio to your liking but requires creating a Sennheiser account.
The Sound Zone feature is another nifty addition that allows you to automatically apply sound settings when entering a specific area, such as your office or home. You can create 20 different sound zones for your home, gym, office, etc, to adjust the headphones based on the location automatically.

Another helpful feature is wear detection, which can play/pause music depending on whether you are wearing headphones. I found it very handy, as my YouTube video or Spotify playlist paused automatically when I removed the headphones.
Touch controls on the side of the headphones also work as advertised. You can control the volume levels, play/pause, skip tracks, and more by tapping or swiping the earcups.
The Sennheiser Accentum Plus stands out in an already crowded headphone market with excellent audio quality, useful features and long-lasting battery life. Its noise cancellation, easy-to-use app and support of a wide range of audio codecs make it an easy pick.
However, the lack of an IP rating and plastic build might be potential deal breakers for some. Moreover, you can also find cheaper alternatives with similar features, including Sennheiser’s own offering, the standard Accentum Wireless.
