Realme Buds Air 2 Design and Comfort

The Realme Buds Air 2 features a similar design to that of the Realme Buds Air Pro. The case is made up of glossy plastic and features a cobble-like shape. The lid of the case is durable and can easily be opened using one hand.

On the front, there is a LED status light and the brand name written. While at the bottom, you can find the charging port. The TWS earbud also has a pairing button present on the slanted edge side.

The case is small and compact in size. Hence, carrying it is not an issue. I was able to put it in my jeans pocket without feeling any discomfort. Also, the Realme Buds Air 2 weighs just 34 grams and definitely is light in weight.

Talking about the buds, they have a new and improved design. The earbuds are built well, with a matte texture on the body and an in-ear style which makes them quite comfortable to wear. I used the buds for one hour straight, and I was really impressed. There was no pain in my ear, and neither did I feel the need to shove the buds repeatedly into my ears.

Furthermore, Realme is kind enough to offer additional pair of eartips with the Realme Air Buds 2. So you can easily pick your perfect fit from there.

The earbuds come with IPX5 water resistance, which makes them ideal enough to be worn in light rain or during your sweaty gym sessions.

The only thing to note here is that the magnets holding the buds are really strong, and taking them out using one hand won’t be possible. However, that’s not much of an issue, given the comfort your ears are getting.

Realme Buds Air 2 Audio Quality

Next, in my Realme Buds Air 2 review, I will share my audio experience. In one word- Outstanding. I simply loved the audio quality offered by the Realme Buds Air 2. They come with powerful 10mm drivers which results in delivering an excellent overall sound. The earbuds make sure not to miss any beat or punch. The bass quality is just wow.

I also liked the fact that even though the Realme Buds Air 2 comes with an extremely loud option, there is no distortion in the audio quality. The earbuds come with two microphones on the stem. But the added bonus is the effective ANC that you are getting at this price.

I tested the microphone in both indoor and outdoor conditions. To my surprise, the earbud performed really well, with the person on the other end being able to hear my voice in loud background noise as well.

Realme Buds Air 2 Battery Life & Charging

The Realme Buds Air 2 packs a 400mAh battery in the case, and the company claims to be offering five hours of battery life while the overall battery life is said to be 25 hours. However, this is the only point where the Realme Buds Air 2 lags a bit behind.

    Realme Buds Air 2 battery

In practical use, the battery lasted for just four hours with ANC turned off, and with ANC, the battery lasted for three and a half hours. On a single charge, I got an overall battery life of almost 22 hours which is fairly good. Also, the case offered me almost four additional charges before the case battery drained out completely.

Charging the Realme Buds Air 2 fully took me almost an hour. There is also fast charging support which claims to be offering two hours of playback time in just 10 minutes of charge. However, I got around 90 minutes of playback time which is again not bad at all.

Realme Buds Air 2 Features and Connectivity

It’s time for the final section in my Realme Buds Air 2 review- additional features. First thing first, the Realme Buds Air 2 comes with advanced Bluetooth Version 5.2. So, you can only imagine how reliable and stable the connection you are getting here. I did not face any connection drop at any point while using the buds.

    Realme Buds Air 2 features

Realme also has a dedicated app for the Realme Buds Air 2. The Realme Link app lets you unleash the full potential of the TWS earbud. You can switch between the different sound modes, including- Bass Boost+, Lively, and Clear. Although, I won’t recommend you use Bass Boost+ and loud volume together.

Furthermore, there are other features like Auto-connect and Google Fast Pairing protocol. Also, you can check the battery status and the mode in which you are using the earbud, like Transparent, Noise Cancellation, or General using the companion app.

    Realme Buds Air 2 UI

The buds feature an in-ear detection option. So the moment you take it off your ear, the sound will pause. Furthermore, the touch response is simply amazing. You can customize the controls as per your choice from the app. Or, you can simply switch off the touch controls. That depends totally upon you.

    Verdict

I absolutely loved using the Realme Buds Air 2, and I don’t see any reason why you should not be choosing this TWS earbud. They certainly fall under one of the best buds released by Realme and come equipped with premium features. In fact, the features of the Realme Buds Air 2 are easily comparable with some of the expensive pairs of TWS earbuds available around.

At a fairly reasonable price, you are getting powerful ANC, amazing sound quality, and an attractive design. As per me, this is the best deal you can go for at this price range.
