Boult Trail Design And Build
The Boult Trail smartwatch offers a premium design that packs more punch than its price segment. Thanks to its metal body, the smartwatch does feel heavy and premium to hold in the hand.
It is available in four different colours, and I have the Metal Black variant of the Boltt Trail with a stainless steel finish for review. You can also get it in a Silicon strap with Raven Black and Jade Green colours

Compared to my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and my Fitbit Sense 2, the watch feels heavy and bulky in the hand, reminding you of its presence. Furthermore, it leaves marks if you wear it for a prolonged period of time. The strap is also difficult to adjust, leaving much to be desired in the comfort department.
This is because you must use the tool in the box to remove the links from the straps and tailor it accordingly. Furthermore, there are a few links that you can use, and it can take a while before you get the perfect fit.
The Boult Trail watch has a rotating crown on the right that functions as a multi-functional button. Unlike other budget watches, this is a functional crown that can navigate the user interface.

The company claims it is IP68 water-resistant and has a massive curved display that sets it apart from other watches in this segment. Overall, the watch looks and feels premium and will certainly turn heads when worn in public.
Boult Trail Battery And Charging
The Boult Trail watch offers great battery backup, and I generally found it lasted around a week. There is also a Low Power mode that you can enable to extend its battery life.
Furthermore, the watch can be charged in around one hour using the included charger, which is decent for its price range.
Boult Trail Display
The Boltt Trail watch’s main highlight is its massive 2.01-inch HD curved screen, which makes it easy to navigate. It is also plenty bright, and I did not face any issues regarding visibility, even under harsh sunlight.
The touch response is smooth, and the watch instantly responds to your input. Another great thing is that you can change watch faces on the go using the rotating crown on the side, and more than 190 faces are available.

However, the tall display might feel a bit overwhelming if you have small hands or prefer a smaller screen. This unique curvature results in the screen covering most of your wrist.
Boult Trail Fitness And Health Features
The Boult Trail smartwatch is packed with fitness-tracking features like heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, activity monitoring, and stress monitoring. It also supports more than 120 sports modes, including running, swimming, cycling, yoga, tennis, basketball, and cycling.
While these modes are useful, I didn’t get a chance to test them during my usage as I primarily used the watch during my walks. Furthermore, there is support for female menstrual cycle tracking, drinking water reminders, and sedentary reminders.

The water and sedentary reminders work as advertised, and the step count is accurate. Moreover, the IP68 rating means you can easily use this watch during workouts or swimming without worrying about water getting into it.
In addition, the accuracy of SpO2 and heart rate sensors should be taken with a pinch of salt, as I also got results when I strapped it around a bottle. Most of these budget watches don’t have high-quality sensors and should not be used as a replacement for medical-grade devices
Boult Trail Software And UI
The Boult Trail watch supports pairing with iOS and Android devices and uses Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. You must install the Boult Fit app to pair your smartwatch with your phone.
The pairing process is pretty easy: You need to install the app, turn on Bluetooth, and enter a few details about your weight, height, and age. After configuring the watch, it can show you various notifications and music controls, as well as the ability to make and receive calls.

When talking about calls, the watch connects to your phone via Bluetooth, allowing you to use the built-in microphone to talk to the other person on the call. The call quality is decent, although the speaker isn’t suitable for crowded environments.
However, this means that any audio you listen to on your phone, such as a song or an Instagram reel, will instead play on your smartwatch. You will need to make this tradeoff with most budget watches, including the Boult Trail.
You also get other nifty features like a flashlight and Find My Phone, which can make a loud noise on your phone to help you locate it. A Voice Assistant feature also summons Google Assistant or Siri on your phone.

But other than these features, I found the calculator more handy on the Boult Trail than other watches I review that simply don’t offer one. Another useful feature is the camera, which lets you remotely take buttons with the smartwatch acting as the shutter button.
Overall, the Boult Trail seems like a compelling package for the price. It has a premium metal design, a massive curved display, and a week-long battery life. Although the metal build makes it bulky, and the sensor’s accuracy could have been better, you do get what you pay for.
The watch also has a rotating crown that can be used to navigate the user interface. It also has Bluetooth calling, music, and camera controls, which can be useful for some users.
That being said, the Boult trail does seem like a good package if you value looks over accuracy and want a stylish smartwatch without breaking the ban
