Samsung Galaxy F54 Design and Build
Samsung Galaxy F54 5G looks really shiny and clean at the first look. You get a plastic back with a CD-like finish that takes effect as light falls on it. While the looks are fine, the build quality could have been better. Getting a plastic body at 30K doesn’t seem justified.
Not to forget, this plastic back is a horrible fingerprint magnet. Even a slight touch on the back gets it dirty quickly, so better use a cover with it. There’s a triple camera lens on the back, which is similar to what you see on the flagship Galaxy S23 series.

You get rounded edges and curved corners that offer a good grip in the hands. The weight distribution has been done well, even though it packs a massive battery and a big display.
The right side has the power button, which doubles as the fingerprint scanner along with volume rockers. The left side has the SIM card slot. Lastly, the bottom side has the type-C port and loudspeaker.
Samsung Galaxy F54 Camera
Samsung Galaxy F54 features a triple camera setup on the back that captures stunning shots in different lighting conditions. You get a 108MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front has a 32MP camera for capturing selfies.
I must say that camera will play a big role if you are considering to buy this phone. The main camera takes some solid photos in daylight conditions. The images came out sharp and vibrant. Dynamic range was wide and the detail level in the images was noticeable.
The portrait mode was lacking in terms of edge detection. Although it worked fine mostly, there were times when it blurred around the edges of the subject.

Low-light images were also decent for the price. Ultra-wide lens was also able to take some good shots in bright lighting conditions.
The 32MP front camera took some crispy clear selfies in good lighting. I loved how natural the colours looked, especially my skin tone.
Samsung Galaxy F54 Battery and Charging
Samsung Galaxy F54 packs a massive 6000mAh battery that delivers amazing battery backup. You can easily get two days of battery backup from this phone. Even a heavy user can get full-day usage with it.
I got more than 7 hours of screen on time which is amazing. Then there is the Power Saving mode that further extends the battery life.
Galaxy F54 comes with 25W fast charging support which takes petty long to fully charge the phone. I used my 18W adaptor, which took about 2 hours to fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 per cent.
Samsung Galaxy F54 Display
Samsung phones come with excellent displays, and the Galaxy F54 is no different. It features a stunning FHD 6.7 inches Super AMOLED display with a punch hole cut out on the top. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits.
The display gets pretty bright for both indoor and outdoor use. Apart from that, you get super thin bezels around the display, which enhances the display experience with a small punch-hole cutout on the top.

120Hz refresh rate makes the scrolling experience a breeze. Be it scrolling through reels on Instagram or playing games, you are gonna love it. You can adjust the refresh rate in the display settings, where you can set it at Standard or High.
I watched a couple fo videos on YouTube, and my experience was super. The content looked super sharp and crisp with vibrant colours. Not to forget, it comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection which makes the display pretty durable.
Samsung Galaxy F54 Performance and Software
Samsung Galaxy F54 is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset, which makes a solid performance for the price. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone easily handles day to day tasks with no struggle.
Apps opened up quickly and multitasking was a breeze. I did not notice any lags or jitters while using the phone. Scrolling through Instagram, watching videos on YouTube, taking photos and texting on Snapchat, everything went great. Talking about gaming, Galaxy F54 has enough power to run any demanding game in the market.
I tried CoD mobile and Ashlapt 9. Both the games ran smoothly on medium to high graphic settings. There were no noticeable frame drops or lags. However, the phone did not get hot even after gaming for an hour.

Samsung Galaxy F54 runs on One UI 5.1 skin which is based on Android 13. Good to see that it comes with the latest Android version out of the box. The UI feels great to use with simple navigation options.
You get a basic control panel and app drawer, which you see in every other Samsung phone. However, the phone comes with some pre-installed bloatware, including apps like Snapcaht, Dailyhunt, PhonePe, Spotify, Byjus, Truecaller and a few more.
Good thing is that you can uninstall them if you want. Samsung promises four years of major software updates and five years of security updates which is the best in the industry.
Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is a good phone that checks all the boxes for a mid-range device. You get a great display, good cameras, solid battery backup and a future-proof device with 5G and software updates.
On the other hand, few things could have been done better. Getting a fingerprint magnet plastic back for 30K doesn’t look like a good deal. The whole Android market is going crazy with charging speeds, but Samsung is still stuck at 25W for some reason.
All in all, Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is a noteworthy option for someone who wants a future-proof Samsung phone with good cameras under 30K.
