For about INR 20000, the C5 pro presents itself as a more than capable midrange handset, although not the most value for money device out there. The company has since released its successor, the C7 Pro, for a similar price range, but in this review, we are going to focus on the 2017 C5 pro.
The specifications on paper seem decent enough to get the job done. All required connectivity options and sensors find their way onto the phone, and the front mounted fingerprint sensor is quite fast to work with.
At the price, with its successor already being released, we would ask you to give the C5 pro a skip, honestly. Within the INR 20000 price range, there are tons of other options to be explored in the midrange segment, and even though the C5 pro offers pretty competitive specifications, the phone just doesn’t scream ‘Buy me!’ to us or anyone else.
Running on an outdated Android 7.0 Nougat, with 4 GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 626, the phone delivers satisfactory performance, and the super AMOLED screen enhances the experience by a fair bit. 64 GB internal storage can be expanded using the hybrid SIM slot, up to 256 GB.
So, if you are looking to shell out INR 20000 on a mobile phone, you’re better off skipping the C5 pro. There are plenty of other fish in the sea, and even if you are hellbent on getting a Samsung device, consider other options.
