Panasonic Eluga I8

The Japanese smartphone manufacturing company Panasonic has launched multiple smartphones in India under the Eluga brand name. The smartphone company has now launched the Panasonic Eluga I8 belonging to the entry-level section.

The entry-level smartphone from Panasonic comes in Charcoal Black colour. You can buy the Panasonic Eluga I8 on Flipkart and Amazon. The device is available in a single variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Panasonic Eluga I8 price in India for the lone variant is Rs.6,999.

Panasonic Eluga I8 features a basic design with a Water Drop-notch for housing the selfie camera on the front side. There is a prominent chin along with minimum bezels around the screen. The display comes with Panda protection. On the rear, the smartphones come with a plastic panel with a single camera placed in a pill-shaped module, below which there is an LED flash. Also, the rear panel features a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and comes with curved edges for better grip. The volume rocker and the power button are on the right side, while the SIM tray is on the left.  

There is a 6.22-inch HD+ Water Drop notch display offered in the Eluga I8 with a resolution of 720 pixels. The IPS panel features Panda protection and comes with HD game support.

For managing the performance of the Panasonic Eluga I8, there is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. Along with this chipset, there is 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.

The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie for providing a decent user-interface. The connectivity features include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and OTG.

As for the camera, Panasonic Eluga I8 supports a basic camera setup with a 13MP camera on the rear side along with LED flash for low lighting conditions and an 8MP front camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The additional features included in the camera section are Digital zoom, Face detection, Touch to focus, Continuous shooting and HDR.

The entry-level smartphone from Panasonic features a large 4000 mAh Lithium-ion battery for ensuring a full day battery backup. For refilling this battery, the device supports normal charging. It comes with a USB 2.0 port for connecting the charger.

If you are switching from a feature phone to a smartphone, Panasonic Eluga I8 might work for you. There is a good display and the battery is large. But the rest of the features are incompetent when compared with present-day demand. The best option is to go with some other device from Xiaomi or Realme.
