    This eco-friendly cleantech startup was founded in 2011 by Sandeep Patel, Dhrumin Patel, Ravi Patel. Their headquarters are located in Ahmedabad. To date, Nepra has raised $24.5 million in funding. Nepra offers efficient waste management solutions with the help of 1,700 collectors. They have major long-term goals and had to make it into our list of best eco-friendly Indian tech startups.

    • Over a whopping 500 tonnes of dry waste is processed by this startup every single day across Pune, Indore and Ahmedabad
    • Nepra plans on increasing their capacity generation
    • They are planning on expanding to 25 Indian cities by 2025

    3. Greenjoules Pvt Ltd

    Greenjoules have not been around for as long as Nepra, but they have definitely had a major positive impact. They came into existence in 2018 as a specialist in making renewable biofuels. This includes providing biofuels for both industrial and commercial purposes.

    The V Radhika, VS Shridhar, S Viraraghavan, and R Sethunath founded startup is all set to set up a major facility in Pune. This particular facility will be set up to cater to the increasing demands for biofuel. They have raised $330 million to fuel their services and expansions.

    • Their biofuel is made out of 100 per cent agricultural residue and renewable waste
    • According to Greenjoules, they use non-feed and non-food waste for the manufacturing of biofuels
    • Their biofuel meets the same standards as petroleum or diesel and does not require any additional modifications in vehicles to run on this

    4. Log9 Materials

    • They contribute to oil-spill prevention with their spill-containment hydrophobic pad
    • Their aluminium-air batteries have a significantly less impact on the environment than lithium batteries
