The Amazfit Lite has a design that is very comparable to that of the Amazfit Bip; it has the same square-like face and bezels on all four sides. The company’s logo can be found at the very bottom of the display.

It weighs just 32 grams, making it the lightest smartwatch I’ve come across, and its polycarbonate casing makes it quite durable. There was no discomfort in sleeping with the watch on my wrist for sleep tracking.

There are two charging pins along with a heart rate sensor on the back. A standard silicone strap is included with the Amazfit Bip Lite. These 20mm straps are changeable with other bands of the same width, and you can do so at any time to match your outfit.

On the right-hand side of the Bip Lite is a single button that serves as both the wake button and the back button. In order to navigate the user interface of the watch, you will need to swipe your finger across the display.

Not to forget, BIP Lite is water-resistant up to 30 metres, so you can keep track of your swimming workouts with this watch.

Battery life is a major selling point for the Bip Light, thanks to a 200mAh lithium-polymer cell. The fact that Amazfit claims the Bip Lite has a battery life of 45 days was almost too good to be true. However, I got about a month of battery life on a single charge which is not exactly what the company claims but still impressive.

This is a welcome change from the norm, as most of its competitors only have a battery life of up to a week before they need to be recharged. As a result, the Bip Lite can be used as an accessory on a daily basis without the user needing to be concerned that it will run out of battery.

The lithium-polymer battery on this watch can be easily recharged in less than two and a half hours. Because of its size, the charger that comes with the device is quite bulky, and I would have preferred a faster and more compact option.

The Bip Lite has a reflective always-on display that measures 1.28 inches and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is resistant to scratches thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass, and the transflective screen makes it easy to see the screen even in direct sunlight.

The Always-On display gives you a clear view of your fitness and health data. In my experience, the touchscreen was quite responsive and I didn’t face any issues with it.

In addition to that, it appears to use an oleophobic coating, which helps prevent fingerprints. The screen itself is rather simple and was created to be easy to read and navigate through. It’s not the prettiest display, but it does the job.

The brightness level must be manually set because there is no ambient light sensor. After a couple of seconds, the touchscreen will automatically disable itself to prevent accidental touches. In order to turn it on again, you will need to press the button.

Even though it’s on the lower end of the price spectrum, it has a decent number of features that aren’t found in other similarly priced models.

The Bip Light is capable of tracking your activity in four distinct modes: outdoor running, walking, treadmill, and outdoor cycling. You can quickly activate the activity tracking feature by pressing the side button and then confirming your selection on the display of the watch.

The Amazfit Bip Lite doesn’t feature an in-built GPS, so it uses the smartphone it’s paired with to figure out its locations and measure distance. Your results may vary because the watch relies solely on the smartphone for GPS accuracy.

The Amazfit Bip Lite can also track your heart rate continuously. Continuous tracking is possible at intervals ranging from 1 minute to 30 minutes, and the tracking accuracy was quite accurate.

Amazfit’s sleep-tracking features are the same as those on other models. The app provides data of your sleep patterns, indicating when you achieved REM sleep. Then again, this isn’t always accurate.

Another exciting feature is the ability to set different vibration patterns. This lets users tell when a call, notification, or timer is coming up by how the phone vibrates.

The Bip Lite needs the Amazfit app installed on your phone to be set up and to send and receive information. The app was simple to use, and connecting the smartwatch to my phone was a breeze. The smartwatch can be paired with both Android and iOS devices.

The user interface of the watch makes use of large fonts and icons, both of which help in the readability. The Amazfit app has watchface customization options as well as the ability to switch between different watchfaces on the watch itself.

You can see how many steps you’ve taken each day on the app by looking at the daily step total. The smartwatch will notify you of any phone calls, texts, or notifications it receives.

Do Not Disturb mode can be activated to reduce distractions or at night. The Amazfit app allows you to customise the notifications you receive, but you cannot respond to them directly from the watch.

You can check the notifications, weather, set alarms, and timers, and all of these features work properly.
