OnePlus Buds Z2 Specs At A Glance

As I move ahead with my OnePlus Buds Z2 review, let me first talk about the specs in brief:

  • Connectivity: Bluetooth V5.2
  • Supported OS: Android, iOS
  • Battery: Up to 38 hours of playback time
  • Weight: 42g (including case and buds)
OnePlus Buds Z2 Design and Comfort

I will talk about the design of the earbuds in my OnePlus Buds Z2 review first. Let’s start with the charging case first. The case features an oval shape and has the brand name written on it on the front. You also get a LED indicator in the front.

While at the back, you can find a Type-C charging port and a button next to it. This button is helpful when pairing new devices. Inside the case, you can find the two earbuds. The buds also feature a basic design with a round stem and rubber ear tip. The top of the earbud is touch-sensitive and can be used to give commands.

The overall weight of the OnePlus Buds Z2, including both the case and earbuds, is 42 grams which is not too much. Also, the compact size makes it easier to slide the buds into the jeans pocket.

Furthermore, the design of the earbuds makes them perfect to fit in anyone’s ear. I used the earbud while walking and running, and I did not have to worry about shoving them back into the ears, which I would say is a big plus positive from my end.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 comes with an IP55 rating which makes them water, dust and sweat resistant. So, you can easily use them in light rain or while at the gym.

OnePlus Buds Z2 Audio Quality

The OnePlus Buds Z2 review is incomplete without the audio experience. I have been using the TWS earbuds for 15 days now, and I must admit that the earbud is a worthy companion for all my audio needs. I am a fan of music with high bass, and the OnePlus Buds Z2 was able to deliver it the right way to me.

Even at the loudest volume, I was able to get crystal clear sound without any distortion, which really impressed me. Additionally, I loved the active noise cancellation option of this earbud. It is simply amazing. No matter the background noise, it was able to deliver clear sound. You can also switch between the different modes, including Normal, Transparency, and Noise Cancellation, based on your need.

The earbuds come with three in-built microphones, which can enhance the calling experience to a great extent. Also, if you are into games, you can use these buds while playing and experience the excellent latency offered by them.

Lastly, the maximum noise cancellation option of this TWS earbud can shut down almost all levels of unnecessary sound and frequency while offering you a pleasant listening experience. This really helps when you are in a much-crowded place.

OnePlus Buds Z2 Battery Life & Charging

Similar to the other OnePlus Buds, the OnePlus Buds Z2 also comes with a great battery life. The on-paper battery life of the TWS earbud is said to be 38 hours which is huge. The reality is not much different as well. I used the buds for an entire day without having the need to charge them again. So, I can say, in my case, the buds lasted for almost 30-32 hours.

The charging case comes with a 520mAh battery and can charge the buds fully almost five times until you need to charge the case again. Also, the OnePlus Buds Z2 come with fast-charging support, which is a great addition at this price point.

OnePlus Buds Z2 Features & Connectivity

Ending my OnePlus Buds Z2 review with the additional features and connectivity options, you get here. First of all, the OnePlus Buds Z2 come equipped with Bluetooth Version 5.2. Hence, you don’t have to worry about connectivity issues. You can experience a reliable and stable connection throughout.

Next, when it comes to pairing new devices to the buds, simply long press the button given at the back of the charging case. Pairing the earbuds with a OnePlus phone is even easier and faster. Furthermore, at a fairly reasonable price, you are getting Dolby Atmos support which I think is an excellent feature.

Not to forget the strong ANC with multiple settings adjustments which help you get rid of the background noise completely. Lastly, the earbud’s functions are also easy to understand and use. A single tap on the top of the earbud means you can play/pause the music or connect and disconnect the calls.

Double tap can help you switch to the next song, and triple tap can restart the song. Additionally, you can also install the OnePlus Buds App available on the Play Store to make the most of the earbuds.

That’s my take on the OnePlus Buds Z2 review. OnePlus delivers a lot with this TWS earbud for the price you are paying, and there is no denying fact in that. In just the bare minimum, you are getting a strong noise cancellation feature, Dolby Atmos, fast charging support and more.

However, one thing to note here is that some of the features are limited to just OnePlus phones. But that might not be the deciding factor whether you should be going for the OnePlus Buds Z2 or not. In my view, the TWS earbud packs everything at a fairly reasonable price, and I definitely enjoyed using it.
