The mobile gaming market has definitely seen a rise in quality over the past five years. With eSports and games like Call of Duty Mobile at the forefront of the mobile gaming revolution, there’s certainly a lot to look forward to. Moreover, there are so many different types of games available or releasing soon, that it becomes difficult to choose which one you’re going to play. After all, your smartphone has a limited storage capacity. Fortunately for us, the pre-registration system helps us better decide on the upcoming Android and iOS games that we’d like to play. This article will cover some of the best of these games so that you know which game to pre-register for in the coming months.
Bearing this in mind, let’s look at the entries!
1. Diablo Immortal
Platforms – Android, iOS
Release date – June 2, 2022
Diablo Immortal is the first entry in the franchise to be available for smartphones. It comes with some epic dungeon-crawling and RPG elements to deliver epic gameplay. The game’s events take place between Diablo II and Diablo III. However, you don’t have to be an expert on the Diablo series to play this game. The developers have assured the fans that the game will be accessible to all, regardless of their in-game knowledge or skill level. Diablo Immortal is an MMORPG by nature, implying that not only will you be able to play the game online with your friends, but you’ll have an extensive list of customisation to check out as well!

2. Total War Battles: Warhammer
Platforms – Android, iOS
Release date – TBD
This entry from the Total War series is definitely going to stir the pot in terms of real-time strategy (RTS) games. Mobile gaming doesn’t exactly have the best titles when it comes to RTS titles. However, since Total War is a stalwart in this genre, you can expect a good game headed your way. Moreover, Creative Assembly, the developers for most Total War games on PC, won’t be developing this one. In fact, it’s being developed by NetEase, which is a renowned mobile games development studio. In addition to being a Total War game, it’ll also feature the memorable characters from the Warhammer series. This is one of the upcoming Android and iOS games you don’t want to miss out on.
The game’s official website states that it’ll start a closed beta test soon.

3. DC Heroes & Villains
Platforms – Android, iOS
Release date – 2022
This game is for the DC fans in the house. DC Heroes & Villains will feature a multitude of characters from the DC universe, including fan favourites such as Batman and Wonder Woman. The game looks like it’ll take most of the character inspirations from the Batman universe. However, this isn’t the type of game that you’re probably expecting. Of course, you can collect many characters from the DC universe. But the gameplay is a bit different. The battles in the game incorporate a match-3 system, where you’ll have to match three tiles of the same type to gain points and progress. This is quite a different take on a superhero game, and we’re interested in seeing where this leads. Unfortunately, although the game’s release date was set as early 2022, an accurate date hasn’t been finalised yet.

4. Plants vs. Zombies 3
Platforms – Android, iOS
Release date – TBD
If you haven’t heard of the Plants vs. Zombies series, you should try the first two games that are already available. The game’s objective is to save yourself from a horde of zombies by growing plants around your base. These plants have various capabilities, each with a unique power to help you defeat the zombies. The game mixes action and strategy elements to bring you a unique perspective on games of this nature. The previous games in the series had a 2D art style. With Plants vs. Zombies 3, the game will bring in a 3D art style without changing most of the original aesthetics.
The interesting thing about this game is that it was launched earlier in 2020. Though it was a soft launch, it didn’t go too well due to the bugs and the players’ dissatisfaction. The game has been pulled from the App Stores and will be launched sometime in 2022 or early 2023.

Platforms – Android, iOS
Release date – TBD

Moreover, the shooting mechanics are solid as well. The game’s mobile version hasn’t opened for pre-registration yet, as Riot Games is exclusively focussing its energies on the release of League of Legends: Wild Rift.
