Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Design and Build
One of my first attractions was the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G design. When I grabbed it before actually using it, it was only a superficial impression. I’m using Mocha Brown with a silicone polymer back, which is totally eco-friendly leather. Its leather finish looks amazing, and its camera bump is a little chunky but lies perfectly on the table.

Finishing is amazing, and the slightly quad-curved design provides a perfect in-hand grip. It comes in a fiber-reinforced plastic back, which you can also choose.

Moreover, it comes with an IP68/IP69K rating for dust-tight and water-resistant protection. It can withstand high-pressure water jets and is immersible for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 m. This rating is one step up from IP68/69, which is why Redmi claims manufacturer-rated water resistance up to 2m for 24 hours.

Furthermore, this phone is drop-resistant up to 2.5 meters. I have seen many review videos and the Redmi launch event, where everyone was smashing this phone, but I did not try it during my Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G review. It’s simple logic: no doubt the phone is among the most durable in its segment, but in daily use, unexpected situations can occur that may break your phone.

In exhibition demos, phones are usually placed at the perfect angle that makes them appear unbreakable, which is not entirely accurate in real-world use. So, stay aware.

Talking about ports, the top of the phone has a secondary speaker and a microphone, and its right side has a power and volume button.

A Type-C port, a speaker strip, a SIM tray, and a microphone are located at the bottom of the device.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Camera
Redmi finally rocked the camera segment with the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G, given its price range. For the last two year I have reviewed many devices and found that no one comes close to Vivo V series specialy in the camera segment.

But I used this almost in every environment, and so amazing colours and mesmerising shots, which you can also check out on my Instagram and Twitter handles to see their original quality.

The 200MP HPE sensor with OIS is the highlight here. It captures very detailed photos thanks to the large sensor size and high resolution. So, it offers strong detail in daylight, natural-looking colours, and reliable point-and-shoot performance.

Xiaomi uses a method called high-resolution cropping to provide zoom that appears to be 2x and 4x optical zoom. This means they don’t include a special telephoto lens. I mostly clicked in 2x and got amazing colours.

I have two issues for me: one is that I felt average dynamic range performance, which it actually should be. Second is beautifying skin tone. If you are the type who appreceate alway originality, then it might be a problem for you.

However, if you are happy with the skin tone beautification process, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G could be your dream.

It has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, where the phone feel mid-range. After seeing the specs sheet, a famous one came to mind: a person flexing gigantic muscles in the right hand and a weaker left hand.

You can see noticeably lower detail in ultrawide shots because colour consistency is inconsistent compared to the main camera.

This phone also performs well at night. I captured a few images that showcase amazing color contrast. The light rays are not imbalanced, and the depth is also satisfactory.

The 32MP front camera is decent and suitable for social media selfies, video calls, and basic portrait shots. So, it’s good but not class-leading in this price segment.

During the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G review, I recorded a few videos as well in 4K at 30fps with the rear camera, and its quality is fine. Plus, it captures audio perfectly, even in the market, eliminating external noises.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Battery and Charging
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G features a 6500 mAh Li-Ion battery. It can last up to 2 days under moderate use. If I were to say it practically, it can last up to 10 hours of screen time on normal use. However, when I played BGMI, I got almost seven hours of battery life.

Moreover, it supports 100W wired fast charging, capable of a full 0-100% charge in approximately 40-55 minutes. This phone also has a feature in the charging option called wired charging mode. So, you can chose standerd charging method or the top speed. Top speed mode helps phone juice quality, but might heat up at the end for a while.

Note that this mode will only work authorided Redmi fast charger. Redmi also claimed that the battery is built for longevity, supporting 1600 charge cycles while retaining 80% health, but this can be tested after longer usage.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Display
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G comes with 6.83 inches AMOLED display. Moreover, it has a 120Hz refresh rate, offering fast display scrolling. This phone also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

So, it enhances viewing experience by using dynamic metadata to optimize brightness, contrast, and color on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis. I watched a few dark-theme videos where deep black accuracy was also excellent.

You can use this phone outside in bright sunlight because it can get very bright, with a maximum brightness of 3200 nits. It also has a protective screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is tough and helps keep the display safe from minor accidents or damage.

Just add the last thing Redmi added: a Reading mode in the display and brightness section, which helps adjust the colour and texture of items on your screen, allowing your eyes to relax.

Overall, the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G display review is amazing.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Performance
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G comes with the Qualcomm SM7635-AC Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 (4 nm) chipset, offering smooth performance. It focuses more on efficiency and balanced performance rather than flagship-level raw power. I got this phone, suitable for everyday tasks like UI navigation, social media, camera processing, and multitasking purposes.

From a gaming perspective, I played so much BGMI and Asphalt 9, I felt some lag issues during clutch moment but this was not regular, like once in a while. The Adreno 810 GPU is capable but not flagship-class. This chip includes Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and adaptive performance management for better sustained gameplay. One noticeable thing was that I did not have any heating issues even after playing for three hours straight.
If I were to choose one of the worst things about this device, that would be having UFS 2.2 type storage. This phone totally does not deserve this; it should at least have UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 1217 in single-core and 3024 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 94 per cent. Moreover, its Antutu score is 1060600. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 99.3%.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G Software and UI
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G comes with Android 15, up to 4 major Android upgrades. This phone has a HyperOS 2 and might get HyperOS 3 soon. Overall, the UI experience is smooth and commendable.

But too much bloated software ruins the whole experience. You can see a lot of unnecessary apps, like games, Snapchat, Agoda, LinkedIn, WPS Office, Spotify, Netflix etc. So, I would suggest uninstalling all the unnecessary apps as soon as possible because it can slow you device after multiple auto updates.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and runs HyperOS 2, offering advanced AI capabilities.

Among its standout features is a 200MP AI-enhanced camera system designed for superior image optimization and processing capabilities.

The device also incorporates Google Gemini for advanced computational features, along with Circle to Search for intuitive navigation and AI-driven object erasure for enhanced photo editing.

Additionally, it integrates the Xiaomi T1S Tuner, which allows for dynamic, intelligent adjustment of antenna performance, optimizing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus 5G review shows that Redmi has finally delivered a strong all-rounder with a standout main camera, premium design, and excellent battery life. While the ultra-wide lens, UFS 2.2 storage, and some software bloat hold it back slightly, the phone still offers great value for users who prioritise photography, display quality, and long battery endurance over hardcore gaming power.
