Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Design and Build
After a long time, Tecno has tried to break away from the rat race. In the hand, it feels amazing and fits perfectly in a single hand. It’s because the curved edges on the display and back panel make it comfortable to hold.

This phone is just 7.4mm after having an 8000mAh giant battery, which is impressive. The centre of attraction in design is the camera layout, which is unique in its triangular shape.

Moreover, the brand printed a triangular shape at the bottom of the SIM tray, along with showing slight internal markings.

The phone features a “starship-inspired” matte back panel that gives it a silky feel without attracting fingerprints. Despite the large battery, it is exceptionally light, weighing 195 grams.

The screen is made with strong Gorilla Glass 7i, which helps protect it from damage if it falls.

It also has a special SGS 5-Star drop-resistance rating, meaning it can withstand drops well. Additionally, the device has an IP64 rating, which means it is dustproof and can withstand splashing water without damage.

While I’m using the Tecno Pova Curve 2 in purple colour for review, you can also buy it in Titanium and Silver colours.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Camera
Tecno Pova Curve 2 features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. While you might see a triple-lens setup on the back, it’s an auxiliary lens that helps enhance images. I tested this phone under various conditions and captured many images.

Its main camera delivers excellent results in bright conditions. Most of the images I captured between 3 PM and 5 PM were under natural lighting at its peak, making it the best time to shoot. You can see the flower images retain their natural colour.

Moreover, it handles red buildings without overexposing or over-enhancing for brighter results. Edge detection is also impressive; you can look at any flower images where the camera properly detected the flower leaf cutouts, defined. I just felt that the images lost quality after zooming in.

Furthermore, in night conditions, its quality drastically decreased, with noticeable loss in photo quality.

Plus, you can see I tried to click a portrait image in night conditions, where the phone couldn’t capture the edges of the face.

There is no dedicated telephoto lens; zoom is digitally cropped (up to 15x)

It also has an AIGC portrait mode, which generates an AI portrait live after clicking. So, it captures four images, but you can cancel it mid-way.

Moving on to the front camera, it features a 13MP sensor, offering amazing results with natural skin tones.

I clicked a few images, which you can see. I also recorded a few videos with the rear camera in 1440p at 30fps. Quality was decent and picked up my audio perfectly. Overall, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 camera review is excellent if I forget about its low-light performance for a while.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Battery and Charging
The battery is one of the best features of the Tecno Pova Curve 2. It has a big 8,000mAh battery that gives great battery life. You can use it for up to 2 days without charging with normal use. I found that I got more than 12 hours of screen time from apps like social media and YouTube. However, if I used the phone a lot, I got about 8.5 hours of screen time on one charge.

The phone also comes with a 45W charger that can fill up the battery in about 65 minutes. I think Tecno should include a slightly stronger charger because of the large battery.

This would make charging faster and could allow the battery to be charged in less than an hour. It supports bypass charging, allowing the phone to draw power directly from the charger during gaming, which helps reduce heat and improve long-term battery health.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Display
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 comes with a large 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that immediately grabs attention. The curved edges give the phone a premium in-hand feel, while the big screen size makes content consumption highly enjoyable. Whether you are watching movies, scrolling social media, or gaming, the display feels immersive and vibrant.

Tecno has also added support for 1440p HDR video playback, which enhances the overall viewing experience. Colours look punchy, contrast levels are strong, and the panel handles dark scenes quite well. During my usage, videos on YouTube and OTT platforms appeared sharp and detailed, making binge-watching more engaging.

The display offers a resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and approximately 429 ppi. Text and images appear crisp, with no noticeable pixelation in daily use.

Another highlight is the peak brightness of 4500 nits. On paper, this is impressive and should help with outdoor visibility. In regular daylight conditions, the screen remains clearly readable and maintains good colour balance.

Overall, the Tecno Pova Curve 2’s display review delivers a premium visual experience and is well-suited for multimedia lovers.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Performance
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 has a Mediatek Dimensity 7100 chip inside. This chip helps the phone run smoothly every day. It is made using a smart 6nm process. This means it works well without draining the battery too much, making it a good choice for mid-range smartphones.

In my experience, the phone didn’t slow down or freeze at all. However, when I played BGMI for two or three matches in a row, the phone got a bit warm. Also, I hoped the phone would have UFS 3.1 storage, which is fast and makes things run better. Instead, it has UFS 2.2 storage, which feels a bit outdated.

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the Tecno Pova Curve 2 to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 975 in single-core and 2859 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 83 per cent. Moreover, its Antutu score is 728989. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 99.4%.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Software and UI
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 runs on Android 16, built upon HIOS 16.

It is set to receive two major updates to newer Android versions (up to Android 18) and will receive security updates for three years, ensuring support until 2029.

The overall user interface experience is impressive. I’m using the Tecno Signature UI, which features a black-and-white colour scheme. The icon style is somewhat distinctive but resembles that of Nothing OS 4.0.

The animations for opening and closing apps, as well as the control bar and app wedges, are fantastic.

However, there is some bloatware, such as Crush Block and Carl Care, although it is not as prevalent as in Realme and Vivo devices. You can uninstall these apps if you prefer, as they may slow down your device after multiple updates.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 has many helpful features that use artificial intelligence (AI). It runs on HiOS 16, which includes ELLA AI 2.0 that supports Indian languages.

The phone has smart photo-editing tools, like Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted parts from pictures, Extender to enlarge images, and Sharpness Plus to make images clearer.

It also has tools to help with work, like summarising documents. Additionally, the phone can reduce background noise during calls and has a fast 144Hz screen for smooth use.
In this Tecno Pova Curve 2 review, the phone clearly focuses on battery and design, and it delivers well on both. The 7.4mm slim body with an 8000mAh battery is genuinely impressive, and the curved AMOLED display adds to the premium feel. Day-to-day performance is smooth, but the Dimensity 7100 and UFS 2.2 storage feel slightly underpowered for the price. The camera is good in daylight but weak at night.
If battery life and looks matter most to you, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 is a solid pick. Power users and gamers, however, may want to consider alternatives.
