Realme launched the P4 series very shortly after the P3 series. I just used the Realme P3 series a few months back, and now I have been using the Realme P4 Pro for review for the last two weeks. But the brand definitely upgraded its camera capabilities compared to the P3 Ultra, which had too much saturation.

I was impressed by its front camera, delivering eye-catching image quality. While the Realme P series is known for its slim profile and stylish finishing, this phone also features a sleek design and a camera module similar to the alleged Apple iPhone 17 Pro. Performance-wise, it is also acceptable, but let’s dive into the Realme P4 Pro review without further delay.

Realme P4 Pro Design and Build

As I mentioned earlier, there is no doubt about the sleek and slim design of the Realme P4 Pro. It features a quad-curved design with meticulous finishing, providing a premium feel. I’m using its Birch Wood colour, which looks more elegant, but it is also available in Dark Oak Wood and Midnight Ivy colours.

    Realme P4 Pro design

This phone has a plastic/glass fibre frame and a plastic back, but it does not easily attract fingerprint stains. It has a camera module similar to the alleged Apple iPhone 17 Pro design, and overall, I liked how they copied it perfectly. Its camera bump does not awkwardly protrude from the body.

    camera design

On the other hand, it only weighs 189 grams, making it lightweight and suitable for prolonged use without causing wrist pain. Moreover, it has an IP66 rating, making it dust-tight and water-resistant, capable of resisting high-pressure water jets.

    side

Moving on to the port placement, the right side of the phone has a power and volume button.

    top

Moreover, its top features a microphone and a secondary speaker, lacking an IR blaster.

    bottom

There is a SIM tray, a microphone, a Type-C jack, and a speaker strip. Overall, the Realme P4 Pro’s design and build are fantastic, giving it the feel of a premium phone in the mid-range category.

    Realme P4 Pro Camera

Realme has really improved the Realme P4 Pro camera over the past few months since launching the Realme P3 Ultra. Just to recap, I reviewed the P3 Ultra a few months back, and the main issue was excessive saturation in images, which distorted the actual reality of the photos.

    Realme P4 Pro rear camera

The brand addressed this issue with the Realme P4 Pro by adding a 50MP wide sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor in a similar price range.

That saturation does not entirely end in this model, but it exists moderately. You can see my images are close to reality, but have added some extra colours like greenery and dark sky tones to make the pictures more vibrant, but everything is kept moderate.

Moreover, you can see the flower images captured accurately without adding too many extra colours. I am also impressed with its portrait mode; you can see other flower images and mine as well, where the edges are picked perfectly. Additionally, its blur condition is also satisfactory.

    camera sample

Moving on to the front camera, which I liked the most. You can see my selfies, which look amazing with a near-accurate skin tone. However, it has added some beauty effects to the image, automatically removing some stains and spots on my face that actually exist.

    Realme P4 Pro front sample

At the same time, I was using the Apple iPhone 16e, and you can compare the images of both phones from my review.

    camera sample

Realme P4 Pro allows you to record 4K videos with the rear and front cameras at 30/60fps. I recorded some videos, and the voice pickup is quite good. This phone produces the best video results in whole natural light, but using it in low light can result in a significant amount of grain in the videos.

Realme P4 Pro Battery and Charging

The battery is also one of the strongest points of the Realme P4 Pro. This phone has a 7,000mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery capacity, offering long-lasting battery life on a single charge. I used this phone to watch movies, scroll social media and play games, especially BGMI.

    Realme P4 Pro battery

While I didn’t record the exact duration, the phone lasted nearly two days on a single charge with moderate social media use. However, I also used to play BGMI, and I got almost one and a half days of battery life on a single charge. So, the Realme P4 Pro battery review is excellent.

    Realme P4 Pro charger

This phone features an 80W ultra-fast charging capability, enabling a full charge from 0% to 100% in approximately 79 minutes. It can achieve around 50% charge in roughly 35 minutes, demonstrating its efficiency in rapid power replenishment. Additionally, the phone supports 10W reverse charging, enabling it to function as a power bank for other devices.

    Realme P4 Pro Display

Realme P4 Pro features a large 6.8-inch display, making it an excellent choice for binge-watching. I’m used to the 6.2-inch screen, but its quad-curved display provides a premium feel.

    Realme P4 Pro display

This phone offers a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, but there is a catch with “up to,” which means it can reach 144Hz, but it will not work with every app. I checked everything manually that I tested; a surprising thing is that only a few useless apps, like calculator, compass, and recorder, support 144Hz, while the rest support 120Hz or 90Hz refresh rates.

    refresh rate

However, the brand mentioned supporting 144Hz to enhance marketing at just under 27K price. Therefore, I disagree entirely because it does not have a native 144Hz refresh rate like the OnePlus Nord 5 5G or Infinix GT 30 Pro.

    brightness

You can change the display LED colour from the screen colour mode settings or activate adaptive tone, which adjusts according to the time. The O1 Ultra Vision Engine is a special feature that enhances video quality. It makes images sharper, brightens regular colours, and helps low-quality videos appear clearer and more vibrant.

    display

This is achieved using advanced tools and programmes that enhance picture quality, expand the colour range, and increase brightness. As a result, the viewing experience becomes more colourful and enjoyable. It also includes AI Hyper Clarity, AI Always-On HDR, and AI Hyper Motion, which you can activate from the settings.

    Realme P4 Pro video quality

Realme P4 Pro is clearly visible in bright light due to 6,500 nits of peak brightness. It also features a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to protect against accidental damage. Overall, the Realme P4 Pro display review is excellent except for its refresh rate.

    Realme P4 Pro Performance

Realme P4 Pro offers excellent performance for its price. This phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4 nm), while I have a Vivo V60, which also features the same chipset but at a higher price range. There is no lag problem with the phone, and it runs smoothly, making it a great choice for daily use.

    Realme P4 Pro performance

You can buy this phone with three storage and RAM variants, including: 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, and 512GB 12GB RAM. The most satisfying aspect is having UFS 3.1 storage, which is much better than UFS 2.2 found in higher-priced phones.

UFS 3.1 is better than UFS 2.2 because it is much faster for reading and writing data. This means apps open quicker, large files transfer faster, and the whole system works better, especially in devices that use 5G technology.

    Realme P4 Pro gaming ability

Moving on to its gaming capabilities, I played numerous games on this phone. The large screen provides a better experience than the 6.2-inch model. It also exhibits similar lag during clutch moments in BGMI, like the Vivo V60. However, overall, it offers a superior gaming experience compared to that device. I would say that there is no significant heating during gaming, even during CPU throttling or other Geekbench tests.

Realme P4 Pro gheekbench test results

I conducted several Benchmark tests on the Realme P4 Pro to evaluate its accurate performance in various aspects. Its Geekbench CPU scores are 1170 in single-core and 3350 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 83%. Moreover, its Antutu score is 943108. The 3DMark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 99.7%. So, the Realme P4 Pro performance review is quite decent.

Realme P4 Pro Software and UI

The Realme P4 Pro review of software and UI highlights many improvements compared to the P3 Ultra. This phone runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0. The interface feels clean and smooth, with quicker animations and less clutter. I like how easy it is to customise icons, wallpapers, fonts, or the always-on display themes; everything is straightforward to adjust.

    Realme P4 Pro UI

Realme UI 6.0 also introduces enhanced privacy and security features. You get App Lock, Private Safe, and Kids Space, which are helpful for daily use. Notification management is well-organised, and switching between apps is very fast.

    Android 15

The sidebar and smart tools also make multitasking easier, as I could drag apps like a calculator or notes directly onto the main screen while watching videos.

    ui

There are some pre-installed apps, but most can be uninstalled. Gaming mode has also been improved. While playing BGMI, it blocked calls and notifications, providing a smooth, distraction-free experience.

    app widgets

Another feature I appreciated is the AI capabilities in the system. Smart suggestions in the settings, voice typing, and AI-powered photo editing within the gallery are very useful. Battery management is also optimised in the software, helping the 7,000mAh battery last even longer.

    ui

Overall, the software and UI experience of the Realme P4 Pro feels refined, smooth, and packed with useful features. It offers a flagship-like feel in this mid-range device.

    Verdict

After two weeks of use, I can confidently say that the Realme P4 Pro review places it in a strong mid-range phone category. The camera, especially the front one, is impressive. Battery backup is excellent and lasts more than a day, even with heavy use. The design feels premium in hand, and performance is reliable for daily tasks and gaming.

The only weak point is the marketing trick used for the refresh rate. It does not offer true 144Hz like other phones in the same price range. Still, if you want a balanced phone with style, a strong battery, and good cameras, the Realme P4 Pro is worth buying.

Overall, there are several phones in the market with the same price, such as the Vivo T4 UltraiQOO Neo 10Motorola Edge 60 Pro,  Xiaomi 14 Civi,  Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, etc. You can compare the Realme P4 Pro with these phones before buy. I hope you liked my Realme P4 Pro review. Thanks for reading.
