What Forza Horizon has been for PC players, Gran Turismo has been for PlayStation players. This award-winning racing game has been a PlayStation title since its existence. However, that may change soon. Lately, multiple PlayStation “Exclusives” like God of War, Spider-Man 2018, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and other games have been ported onto PC. The PC player base is indeed massive, and it is a great time for gaming as these bestselling titles can now be played on PC. Now, you can add Gran Turismo to this list of PlayStation-turned-PC games. Here’s why.

Now, Kazunori Yamauchi, the maker of the renowned series, has hinted at something important. The maker says that they are looking into and considering the possibility of a Gran Turismo PC port. It comes as some amount of relief now that Yamauchi has suggested that this is a possibility of sorts.

However, some hurdles need to be crossed first. According to Yamauchi, one of the leading issues that a port faces is the ability to run at 60 fps at 4K-res across most platforms. That surely is a challenge, given that Horizon Zero Dawn initially had a buggy start.

What Lies Ahead

The good news is that with near-perfect ports like Spider-Man Miles Morales and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, it doesn’t seem like a Far Cry for Gran Turismo PC to be a reality. Besides, with Sony planning to introduce titles to Mobile as well, you can expect a whole lot of surprises this coming year.

With that being said, it surely will be great to see a developer like Polyphony to finally take up this project. After all, PC gaming surely does seem like the next big thing, with more and more PSP games being ported onto the platform.
