Infinix Hot 9 And Infinix Hot 9 Pro Launched In India!

Infinix has finally launched the update to its Hot smartphone lineup with Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro in India. Both the devices share almost the same specifications except for the rear camera setup.

Talking about the specifications, both the phones are equipped with a large 6.6-inch LCD HD+ panel with 720×1600 pixels resolution with a front punch-hole for its selfie shooter. The display has a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio which is quite commendable for a phone falling in the budget category. Overall, the display lights up to 480 nits of max brightness.

Moving on, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor flanked with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Of course, there’s a dedicated microSD slot available on both of the models allowing expandability to up to 256GB.

Talking about the camera setup, both the devices sport an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and an LED flash. At the back, the Infinix Hot 9 Pro features a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro lens, and a low light sensor totaling at a quad-camera setup. On the other hand, the vanilla Infinix Hot 9 features a downgraded 13MP primary sensor along with 2MP macro, 2MP depth, and a light sensor to go with it.

Both the smartphones are packed with a large 5,000 mAh battery under the hood that offers 13 hours of gaming backup or 30 hours of 4G talk time and so on.

Talking about the pricing, the Infinix Hot 9 Pro is available at Rs 9,499/- for its 4+64GB variant while the Infinix Hot 9 with 4+64GB is available at Rs 8,499/- via Flipkart with the first sale scheduled on June 5 and June 8 at 12 pm respectively.

Both Infinix Hot 9 and Infinix Hot 9 Pro are pretty much identical and share some key features.They have a Big HD+ display which streams only 720P videos online, a beefy battery with no fast charging support, a punch-hole design, a fingerprint scanner on the back panel and decent quad-rear camera setup. They are a bit bulky because of which they won’t easily fit inside one hand. Having said that, they also have a slippery design so you might want to use both your hands if you need to do bigger tasks. Powered by a low-end chipset, the high-end games are not their cup of tea as you will find the device heating up and experiencing lags. Both the phones’ UI is not clean and comes with many pre-installed apps. The photos taken don’t look natural and it is a struggle to get good selfies at night. The major difference between these two models will be the camera setup with the Pro model getting a better camera with an extra LED on the back, bringing the total count for the flash to four.
