Mentions
Apple has added several new features to its native Messages app, including the ability to mention people in a group conversation. When in a group text, it gets a little confusing as to whose asking what or who to whom. Here’s a solution just for you – which is simple and when you try it – you might just wonder why did we not know of it before.
You can either type the contact name with a @ symbol or simply type in the contact name. Once done, type your message and voila! you have mentioned the particular person you’re referring to in the group text. Interestingly, they will be informed of the mention even if they have muted the conversation.

Significant Locations Tracking
iPhone Significant Locations is a feature that tracks and saves the places you’re located most often. Apple uses these locations to send you specific alerts in the Calendar, Maps, and Photos app. Although your iPhone saves these Significant Locations, Apple can’t see or read them because the data is encrypted.
But, where there is a benefit there is little setback too. Location tracking is always a drain on your battery life and well, if you like your privacy, you can simply turn it off. You can do so by simply doing these steps:
Go to Settings –> Privacy –>Location services –> System services –> Significant Locations
Then, turn off the switch next to Significant Locations. You’ll know it’s off when it’s white.

Undo (This one is the most fun!)
Humans make mistakes every other day, the same way we end up making mistakes on our iPhones while typing. Or even when we are busy doing something with one hand and our phone simply takes on a randomly typed by mistake. Of course, there is the usual way we can delete or just backspace the written info. But hold on! There is something even more interesting I bet you have not tried before! If your one hand is busy and your iPhone screen is wide, and you want to delete or undo the typing, simply shake your phone!
Yes, you heard me right! Shake your iPhone and a pop-up appears asking if you’d like to undo the previous action. To toggle on or off head to Settings -> Accessibility –> Touch –> Shake to Undo. I will wait just here and until you try it now.

Scanner
If you don’t own one of those fancy all-in-one printers that include a scanner, being asked to sign, scan and send a document can seem like an impossible task. But you may have a scanner right in your hand: your iPhone. There’s a PDF scanner in the Notes app that actually works! The feature was added in iOS 11 in 2017, but if you don’t use Apple’s Notes app, you don’t know it’s there.
You can do so by simply, going to Notes –> New Note –> Tap the camera icon below –> Tap Scan Documents.
Your iPhone or iPad will open the camera, complete with a shutter button near the bottom of the screen. Don’t push it yet; instead, follow the prompts on your screen. To get the best results, hold your device directly above the document.
Frustating in-app reviews and ratings? Toggle it off!
Whether be it an Android user or an iPhone user, every one of us is irritated with these annoying pop-ups asking us to review their apps and rate them. However, iPhone users have a way out of these little pop-ups. Here’s how to disable them:
Settings –> App Store –> Turn off in-app reviews & ratings

Back Tap
Did you know your iPhone has a cool hidden feature that lets you trigger certain actions whenever you tap the rear panel of your phone? You can now take a screenshot by double-tapping or opening the camera by triple tapping the rear panel of your iPhone. With this feature, the entire rear panel of your iPhone basically transforms into a big touch-sensitive button.
Settings –> Accessibility –> Physical & Motor –> Touch –> Back Tap
By enabling the “back tap” function, a double or triple-tap on the back of your phone triggers action of your choosing. Take a screenshot, turn on your flashlight, activate Siri, and more.
One-hand Typing
Sometimes you don’t want to use both hands to send a text or maybe you’re holding a coffee, a dog leash, or a particularly squirmy toddler. Whatever the reason, here’s how to set up a one-handed keyboard on your iPhone. Especially when you own a widescreen phone like iPhones Pro Max, one-handed texting can be a real pain in your hand to do. Here’s how you go about setting that up:

Open any app that uses the keyboard, such as messages. Then, touch and hold the globe or emoji keyboard button. Lastly, tap either the right-handed or left-handed layout, as indicated by the arrow to the side of the keyboard icon.
