OxygenOS 15 Features To Look Out For!

Below, we have elaborated on the features of OxygenOS 15 that we are expecting as per reports:

Lock Screen Customisation

OxygenOS 15 introduces a fresh bunch of vibrant lock screen customisation options. You will be able to personalise your device with ease. You can add depth effects similar to those on iPhones and even include a step counter on the lock screen. Other customisation options include:

  • Changing the clock styles, colour palettes, and fonts.
  • OxygenOS 15 will include a new “Flux theme” that lets you personalise your phone’s lock screen in more ways. Other styles include a break-up of Classic, Sleek, and Pulse.
  • There are ready-made designs (called “presets”) you can choose from, and you can also change things like colours and styles to make the lock screen look just how you want.

A New Look For Quick Settings and Control Center

The control centre in OxygenOS 15 has been completely redesigned, offering a more user-friendly and customisable experience. The notification shade has been separated from the quick setting tiles, and a new icon has been added to allow users to easily customise the quick settings. Although it is not clear if the tiles will be resizable, this change makes the control centre more intuitive.

Dynamic Island-Like Feature

The OxygenOS 15 brings a feature even more similar to the Apple’s Dynamic Island, but bearing an improvement: it supports multiple apps at once. This means that it would bring better multitasking and make a solid improvement in usability in general by making the user be able to much more easily interact with multiple applications side by side.

AI-Driven Features With Google Gemini and more

AI-Driven Features With Google Gemini

OnePlus has also integrated AI-driven features, including Google’s Gemini AI, which aims to improve overall device performance and introduce smart, automated tasks. In fact, it is packed with features like AI Writer, AI Speak, AI Summary and AI Reply. (you can’t get enough of AI at this point)

Theft Detection Lock

A new security feature, the Theft Detection Lock, uses AI to detect if the phone has been stolen. Although this feature is currently available only in China, it may see a global rollout in the future.

New Animations In Charging

Plug in your charger on OxygenOS 15, and you shall see cool wave effect animations. And, there is a new feature called “System Core,” too, which shows you some important stuff. Like how much power your phone’s GPU (graphics) and CPU (processor) is using, how much memory (RAM) is being used, and your phone’s temperature.

New Style Icones

We are going to see two new styles of app icons called “Radiance” and “Shadow.”

Parallel Drawing Architecture

A system called parallel drawing architecture will ensure that there is minimal consumption of resources such that more than one app can work without slowing down.

Split-Screen App Pairing

If you’re using two apps, you can pair them and place an icon on the home screen. You can do this by tapping on that icon. Both those paired applications will open up. Along with that, we will have some features like cool-down notifications to reduce the notification load, as well as features like app archive and more!

System Core Page

This new page features detailed information about your device and its inner components like GPU, CPU, Device temperature, RAM consumption percentage and more! This will help you get more control over your device and determine the phone’s longevity.
