OnePlus 9 5G Design Leaks in Live Images

OnePlus’s upcoming flagship’s alleged live images have surfaced online. This OnePlus 9 series is coming as the next flagships from the company. Additionally, they are going to come as the 5G offerings by the company. We know from experience that Pro will be the more premium device. Whereas, the regular variant will have a slightly muted design language.

The latest live images for OnePlus 9 5G show a flat display like OnePlus 8T. It also shows the phone from different angles. However, the most notable change is visible in the camera module, which has popped up in previous leaks as well.

Apart from this, there are some leaks about the OnePlus 9 Pro in the past. One such leak came via Tipster Waqar Khan who shared some high-quality renders of the OnePlus 9 series devices. It is revealing the key design elements of the phones.

OnePlus 9 Leaks

This new leak shows off a new prototype unit of the device surfacing online and revealing key details about the device. The images leaked by Phone Arena show a different design for the camera setup. OnePlus 9 includes a triple rear camera setup with two large sensors and a third smaller sensor. Additionally, the flash is also located within the camera module that has ‘Ultrashort’ written on it. There is also a different logo on the back of the rumored OnePlus 9 as opposed to the typical OnePlus logo, which the report states are a dedicated logo for a prototype unit.

It shows a major similarity to the OnePlus 8T, with a flat display and a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The report mentions that the phone may feature a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is also expected to come with HDR support. As per the report, the OnePlus 9 may come with a 4,500mAh battery and run Android 11 out-of-the-box.

As per the leaked renders, the OnePlus devices will feature flat displays on the OnePlus 9 and curved on the OnePlus 9 Pro. Both phones will come with a punch-hole design and a camera bump on the back which appear to house a rectangular camera enclosure similar in design to the one to the one featured on the OnePlus 8T. However, unlike the latter, the new phones will sport four cameras instead of three at the back. The OnePlus 9Pro screen could also be bigger at 6.7-inches and support refresh rates up to 144Hz. The phone could also house stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
