WhatsApp’s New High Resolution Images Feature

The popular messaging application WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is developing a new feature that will allow users to exchange photographs in full quality rather than auto-compressing them. According to WABetaInfo, this feature will most likely be there in a future WhatsApp version, which is presently in the process.

Users may choose “automatic,” “best quality,” or “data saver” as the quality setting for images they share with others under WhatsApp’s “Settings” section. Images sent in the highest quality configuration, on the other hand, cannot be delivered in their original quality since they are automatically compressed. The latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.2.11 is testing a feature. This will allow users to send images in their original resolution.

As shown in the picture, the messaging platform aims to include a new setting icon within the drawing tool header. Users will be able to customise the quality of a photo this way. According to the report, sending images in their original quality will ultimately be possible with the help of this function.

Customers of WhatsApp may now access it by joining up for the beta version on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. There is no indication of whether or when the feature will be there in the stable release.

According to a recent source, the platform will also have a shortcut for blocking contacts. Moreover, a new function will allow users to record films and capture photos right from the app. Furthermore, these new features allow WhatsApp’s Android edition to make the app more user-friendly. Both capabilities have appeared in various WhatsApp Beta versions. They are more likely to emerge in a stable version in the next months. Last month, the company also unveiled the Accidental Delete tool, which allows users to undo erased messages.
