
The OnePlus 16 launch is just around the corner, and the company has already revealed several details about its next flagship smartphone. OnePlus will launch the phone in China on October 12, with the device expected to focus heavily on performance, gaming and battery life.

OnePlus 16 Launch: Key Features Revealed

OnePlus has confirmed several specifications ahead of the launch. The phone will target users who want flagship performance, especially gamers.
Key specifications include:
- Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
- Battery: 9,000mAh
- Display: 165Hz refresh rate for regular use and up to 185Hz for gaming
- Primary camera: 200-megapixels
- Periscope camera: 50-megapixels
- Software: ColourOS 17
- RAM and storage: Up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage
- Gaming: Native 185fps support for select games

OnePlus is also introducing a three chip esports system that separately handles display, touch response and connectivity. The phone will use a new Fengchi Gaming Kernel to help maintain high frame rates during long gaming sessions.
The company has confirmed support for 185fps gaming in titles including Arena Breakout, Nizhan: Future, Naruto Mobile and Peace Elite.
Battery And Camera Details
The 9,000mAh battery will be one of the biggest upgrades over the OnePlus 15, which features a 7,300mAh battery. Reports also claim that the new phone could support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, although OnePlus has not confirmed these charging specifications yet.
The camera setup could include a 50 megapixel ultrawide sensor and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 6x lossless zoom. A 50 megapixel autofocus front camera is also expected.
OnePlus is expected to offer the phone in three colours. A reported AnTuTu benchmark score of more than 5.38 million points has also appeared for a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant.
The OnePlus 16 will launch in China on October 12, while reports point to a global launch in November. However, OnePlus has not confirmed the India launch yet. Some reports suggest India could receive the OnePlus 16R instead.
