Xiaomi users won't have to wait much longer for the stable HyperOS 4 update. The company has confirmed that the first batch of stable updates will begin rolling out in China on October 15, giving select Xiaomi, Redmi and tablet users access to the new software.
The announcement comes as Xiaomi's internal testing recruitment is scheduled to close on October 14. The company will release the stable builds in batches, so eligible devices may not receive the update on the same day.
HyperOS 4 Update: Check the First Batch of Eligible Devices
The first phase of the HyperOS 4 rollout will cover 12 devices across Xiaomi's flagship smartphones, Redmi K90 series and Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup.

Here is the list of devices scheduled to receive the update in China from October 15:
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra Satellite Edition
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
- Xiaomi 17 Pro
- Xiaomi 17
- Xiaomi Mix Flip 2
- Redmi K90 Pro Max
- Redmi K90 Pro
- Redmi K90 Pro Lamborghini Edition

Xiaomi plans to release the update in stages rather than push it to every eligible device at once. The company has also outlined a wider rollout schedule for China, with another batch expected to begin later in October.

When Will HyperOS 4 Arrive In India?
For now, Xiaomi has confirmed the stable rollout schedule for China, but it has not announced an official date for the global release.
The company has already started beta testing HyperOS 4 update on several devices in global markets. This suggests that international users are also part of the update programme, although the stable release timeline remains unconfirmed.
Based on the current rollout plan, the global update could begin later in October. However, Xiaomi has yet to confirm the timing for India, so users should not treat this expected window as an official release date.
What Should Xiaomi Users Expect?
The first batch focuses on newer flagship smartphones, the Redmi K90 family and Xiaomi's latest tablets. Users with eligible devices should keep an eye on the software update section in their phone's settings as the rollout begins.
Since Xiaomi releases major updates in stages, the update may take time to reach every device, even if it appears on the eligible list. Users should also make sure their devices have enough free storage and battery before installing the new software.
For Indian users, the main thing to watch is Xiaomi's announcement of the global and India rollout schedule. Until then, the October 15 date applies to the first stable release in China.
