As the ColorOS 17 Beta Rollout comes first to the OnePlus 15 series, we bring you this latest news story on all the key aspects of this new OS change.

Time For OS Shift For OnePlus Users: ColorOS 17 Beta Rolls Out For 15 Series, Brings A New Avenue
OnePlus has begun the next major chapter of its software journey, opening the ColorOS 17 closed beta for the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R in India. The move marks the beginning of the company's transition away from OxygenOS as ColorOS becomes the software platform for eligible devices with Android 17.
An important fact to acknowledge here is that the current beta program is limited to 300 testers per device, making it an early testing phase rather than a stable public update. OnePlus says eligible existing users will have the choice to move to ColorOS, while a rollback to OxygenOS will also be supported. Since OxygenOS and ColorOS already share much of their underlying codebase, users may notice fewer dramatic changes than the name suggests.
