This new update is released today on the App Store. The official changelog states that it is a bug-fix update. However, more tests are still to be done. WhatsApp’s new ability to forward media with a caption for some users is enabled after installing the latest WhatsApp for iOS 22.23.77 update from the App Store.

The users of the app are required to forward an image with a caption for discovering this feature. If it is available, a new view will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Moreover, there is even a dismiss button. Now it is even possible to remove the caption from the image before forwarding the message if you don’t want to forward it with the caption.

The new update is not only applicable while forwarding images but also when you forward videos, GIFs, and documents. That too without losing the caption.

Just like other messages even the forwarded media with a caption are end-to-end encrypted. So no one can see the content of the forwarded message. You can find this new feature upon installing the latest version of WhatsApp from the App Store. As it is rolling out to more users in the coming days.
