Voot is a subscription-based video-on-demand and OTT streaming service, owned by Viacom18. It is available as an application on Smart TVs, Smartphones, and has a website for desktop users. It has provided streaming services free of cost in the earlier days but has now introduced “Voot Select”  to back its services and provide a seamless ad-free experience. Voot Select has subscription plans from Rs 99/ Month and Rs 499/ Year.

Voot lets you stream the most popular channels of the Viacom 18 network such as Colors, Dangal, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV Beats, and CNN News18. Though Voot streamlines its content mainly in Hindi and English, it also provides TV Shows and web series in different regional languages, such as Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, and Tamil. Voot also provides the support for Chromecast, so you might want to cast your phone screen directly if you’re streaming temporarily.

How to Activate Voot on Your Android Smart TV 

Step 1:  Firstly, make sure you’re on the home screen of your Smart TV.

Step 2:  Navigate to the Google PlayStore app on your device and search for the “Voot” application and install it.

Step 3: Once the Voot app is installed, open the app.

Step 4: While trying to play any content, you will be prompted to enter the activation code for logging into your Voot account. 

Step 5: Note down the mentioned “Activation Code” 

Step 6: Now by having noted down the activation code, browse to www.voot.com/activate on any of your mobile devices or desktop.

Step 7: On the website, you’ll be asked to log into your Voot account 

Step 8: Once you enter your account details, you’ll be asked to enter the activation code

Step 9: After entering the activation code as mentioned, click on the “Continue” button

How To Activate Voot on Apple TV

Voot is one of the popular streaming services in India and is available for Apple TV as well follow along with the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Firstly, get to the home screen of your Apple TV and navigate to the Apps section. 

Step 2: Go to the Entertainment Section and search for the “Voot” application in the search bar.

Step 3: Click on ‘Get’ to download and Install the Voot app on your Apple TV. 

Step 4: Now scroll through your device applications and open the newly downloaded Voot app.

Step 5: To open any of your favourite shows, you’ll be prompted to activate your account with a code.

Step 6: Open a web browser on any of your devices and navigate to www.voot.com/activate

Step 7: Now you need to log in by entering your account details. And then fill out the activation code when prompted by the website.

Step 8: Once you enter the code you will be logged in to the Voot app on your Apple TV as well.

How to Activate Voot on Amazon Fire TV Stick

Step 1: First of all, you are required to install the Voot App on your Amazon Fire Stick. For this navigate to the Apps section, look for Voot app and instal it. Once done open the app and try to stream any content.

Step 3: If you’d try to stream any show you will get a popup screen showing an activation code.

Step 4: Now having the activation code; visit www.voot.com/activate on any of your other devices, be it your smartphone or desktop pc.

Step 5: You’ll be required to Sign in to your Voot account on the website by filling up the account details such as registered mobile number/ userID and password.

Step 6: Once You’re signed in to your account; You’ll be prompted to enter the activation code, which was shown on your Amazon FireTV. Now enter that activation code and you will be good to go!

How To Activate Voot on Samsung Smart TV

Step 1: Once you’re on the home screen of your Smart TV, navigate to the Apps section located at the bottom menu.

Step 2: Now in the search bar at the top right look for ‘Voot’ application

Step 3: Click on the Install button, to download it on your smart device.

Step 4: Once you’re done installing the Voot app. Head to the application section and open the Voot App which you can find in the apps menu bar at the bottom.

Step 5: Now you will be prompted with an activation code when you’d try to open any web series/ TV show on the Voot app. Note down the activation code you’re prompted with.

Step 6: Now head to any of your other devices such as your smartphone or a computer, and visit www.voot.com/activate

Step 7: After entering your account credentials, you’ll be asked to enter the activation code you’ve noted.

Step 8: The activation process is now complete. And now you can binge-watch your favourite shows.
