The premium brand Sony arrives with one of its most affordable E-series model, Xperia E5. Priced at Rs. 14,990, Sony Xperia E5 is all set to face the fierce competition of the mid-range budget flagship market.
However, Sony Xperia is not a desirable handset. It comes as a mediocre set with poor performance and battery which seems incapable of staying afloat in the fierce competition of the flagship market.
Sony Xperia E5 comes with the Sony signature design but at an affordable range that will attract the budget crowd. Not only is its design a nostalgic marvel, but it also comes with a powerful camera which shoots brilliant pictures, preserving the details in them.
Sony Xperia E5 arrives with a nostalgic Sony design, bringing back the traditional boxy design. The matte finish gives it a beautiful look, and the thickness of the phone is enough to hold and manage with ease. While the volume rocker button is placed in an odd position, this is a minor shortcoming for an overall luscious design.
The other big asset of Sony Xperia E5 is the 13MP camera. It produces beautiful shots and comes with features like object tracking and autofocus. The autofocus is snappy and works wonderfully in good light. Activating HDR gives a significant quality boost to shots taken.
Setting aside the design and camera, Sony Xperia E5 is just an average phone. It has a below average processor, paired with poor RAM, and the battery is mediocre as well. It is not a recommendation unless you are a die-hard Sony fan.
