The Sony Xperia Ace IV will have a display that is 5.5 inches in size, but it will have an updated OLED screen with a resolution of 1,080 pixels by 2,520 pixels.   The next-generation smartphone display will change the aspect ratio from 19:9, the current norm, to 21:9, the Sony standard. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor gives the phone additional computational muscle; although it won’t be a racing beast, it should be noticeably quicker than the Snapdragon 480.

According to rumours, the CPU will be combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (an increase from the current 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage). Following precedent, this phone should also support microSD expansion. Like any good Xperia, it should be waterproof and include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The battery, which has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged using 18 watts, appears to be the only component that will remain unchanged. Considering how compact this phone is compared to the vast majority of Android devices now available, that is more than sufficient.
