It’s been nearly 4 years since the first AirPods model came out. After that we received couple of hints about Apple’s upcoming new over-ear-headphones, which would be called as AirPods Studio. And at last, we now have some more details about the gadget.
The Apple AirPods Studio might be the smartest over-ear headphones ever. A new report now details some of the features expected on the headphones, including active noise cancellation clubbed with transparency Mode, like the one present on the Sony WH-1000XM3. The most interesting one comes from the report from 9to5Mac, which details some of the features on the new headset, including head and neck detection through special sensors on the headset, custom equaliser settings, and many more.
The AirPods Studio, just like the AirPods, would also feature ear detection. This is designed to stop a song when the device is removed. In Airpods, it even allowed to pause a song when a single AirPod is removed or play a song when the removed AirPod is put back in to the ear.
Reports also mention another sensor which will be able to detect left and right ears. This would allow to automatically route the audio channels, which means there will be no right or wrong side for wearing the AirPods Studio. Coupling the earphones with a Mac /iOS device would unlock the custom equalizer settings with low, medium, and also high frequency adjustments.
Moreover, older rumors suggest that the AirPods Studio will feature Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode like the AirPods Pro and that they might come with interchangeable ear pads and also headband padding, allowing customization. We know Apple might also sell the headphones with multiple material options like leather or something lighter and more breathable for those gym sessions.
Sources this weekend hinted that Apple could price the high-end over-ear headphones at $349 (approx. Rs 26,000). As of now, this is pretty much all the Intel that we have surrounding the upcoming Apple AirPods Studio. Whenever we receive more information, we will keep you posted on the same.
