Xiaomi Redmi 12C is likely to launch soon in the global markets. The handset was previously tipped to launch globally as the POCO C55. However, a recent report suggests that the Redmi 12C will debut in India this month. Moreover, a new Xiaomi handset appeared on the Geekbench website which is believed to be the global version of the Redmi 12C. The listing suggests that the handset will feature a 2GHz octa-core chipset, which will likely be a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.

Redmi 12C Global Variant: Specifications (Expected)
The global variant packs an octa-core chipset with two performance cores clocked at 2GHz and six 1.80GHz efficiency cores. Based on the core configuration, it appears that the handset will feature the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. Moreover, the listing also suggests that the upcoming smartphone will come with 4GB of RAM however, we can expect more variants at launch. The handset will run on Android 12 OS out of the box.
The listing further reveals that the upcoming global variant achieved a single-core performance score of 355 points and a multi-core performance score of 1,173 points. Apart from this, the listing does not reveal any additional details about the device. As per past reports, the upcoming handset is likely to launch in India this month ahead of MWC 2023. The handset has already debuted in China at a starting price of CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,500) for its 4GB + 64GB internal storage model. Whereas, the top-end 6GB + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 11,000). Chances are that the global variant may also feature similar specifications as the China model.
