Vivo has confirmed that it will soon launch the Vivo V29 Series in India. It includes the Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro. These smartphones will make their debut in the country, and they will feature a curved display and a premium glass back design. It has released a teaser on its website with the “Coming Soon.”
Vivo V29 Series To Launch On October 4
The Vivo V29 series could launch on October 4, according to the teaser image posted by the company. The words “Stay tuned till We Meet on October 4” appear on the website, meaning the phone could launch on October 4 in India. It will be available in three colour options: Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red and Space Black.
Vivo has also teased some of the key specifications, such as the phone’s 3D curved display and “India’s first 3D particle technology” on the Himalayan Blue colour. Furthermore, it will be slim and sleek, with a thickness of 7.46mm and a weight of just 186 grams. The phone is advertised as a “portrait masterpiece” with the ability to capture better portraits with the Aura Light LED on the back.
It uses Smart Colour Adjustment technology to detect the temperature in your surroundings and automatically adjust the lighting on your face. This will result in a natural skin tone even when the light is excessively warm or cold. In addition, Vivo has added a new wedding-style portrait mode that is exclusive to India. The company also confirmed the V29 Pro will use the Sony IMX663 sensor to capture 2x portrait shots.
Vivo V29 And V29 Pro Specifications
The Vivo V29 features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with IP68 water and dust resistance and HDR 10+ support. The phone has a Snapdragon 778G processor paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. It runs on FunTouch OS 13 on top of Android 13 with 128GB or 256GB of storage.
It boasts a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. On the front, there is a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with dual-LED flash. There is also support for OIS and Aura LED flash.
The V29 has a 4,600mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, GPS, GLONASS and NFC connectivity.
The company has not provided details about the Vivo V29 Pro, but it could be a rebrand of the Vivo S17 Pro launched in China. The phone will have a similar display to the Vivo V29 with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor pairs with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM.
It will sport a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom capability. Furthermore, it will have a 50-megapixel front camera pack and a 4600mAH battery with 80W fast charging.
