Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 launch in India, introducing its latest mid-range smartphone with a massive 8,000mAh battery and a large 7.0-inch AMOLED display. The new Redmi Note 17 succeeds last year's Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 and focuses on offering longer battery life while keeping the price competitive. However, Xiaomi has also made a few changes to the hardware compared to its predecessor.
The smartphone comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, Android 16 out of the box, and promises up to four years of Android software updates. The Redmi Note 17 will be available in India starting August 13 through Xiaomi's official channels, Amazon, and retail stores.

The biggest highlight of the Redmi Note 17 is its 8,000mAh battery, which is around 45 percent larger than the battery found on the Redmi Note 15. Xiaomi says the phone supports 45W wired fast charging and also offers 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge compatible devices.
The phone features a larger and flatter 7.0 inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. It also comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Compared to the Redmi Note 15, Xiaomi has reduced some camera and multimedia features. The Redmi Note 17 now includes a single 50-megapixel rear camera, replacing the previous dual camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra wide lens. The front camera has also been reduced from 20MP to 8MP. Additionally, the phone no longer supports 4K video recording and now comes with a single speaker instead of stereo speakers.
Redmi Note 17 Price And Availability In India
The Redmi Note 17 launch brings two storage variants to the Indian market:

- 8GB + 128GB: Rs. 30,999
The smartphone will be available in Dark Night, Arctic Blue, and Starlight Purple color options.
Sales begin on August 13 at 12 PM IST through Xiaomi's official website, Amazon, and Xiaomi retail stores.
