OnePlus is ready to introduce its next flagship, the OnePlus 15, later this month in China. The company is focusing heavily on its new display technology developed with display maker BOE. The OnePlus President, Li Jie Louis, revealed important details about this cutting-edge screen ahead of its official unveiling at BOE’s OLED flagship event in Shenzhen on October 14.
OnePlus 15 Display – Revolutionary 3rd Generation Oriental Screen
The OnePlus 15 will feature the world’s first “third-generation Oriental Screen,” a 6.78-inch BOE X3 OLED panel. OnePlus 15 display is groundbreaking with a sharp 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate—the highest refresh rate for a smartphone screen globally. This new technology marks the beginning of the “165Hz ultra-refresh era” in smartphones.
The screen achieves eight major technological advances and holds nine world records for screen performance. OnePlus highlights four main strengths: smoothness, display quality, dark viewing capability, and eye protection. OnePlus 15 display is also the first Android display capable of true hardware-level 1-nit brightness in dark environments, helping reduce eye strain. Moreover, it has earned a TÜV Rheinland Smart Eye Protection 5.0 Gold certification for added eye safety.
