The Instagram Maps feature is here in India. With this feature, we all now have a new way to interact with friends and find local stories, reels, and posts. With this update, users can browse an interactive map view of location-tagged content and choose which friends to see their most recent active location.
Check Nearby People, Cafes, And More
With Instagram Maps, you can now explore nearby cafes, restaurants, and people who have tagged your nearby locations on their posts, stories, or reels.
Already Available On Snapchat
This latest Maps feature was already available on Snapchat. When you use Snapchat, it shows a map section on the left, where you are able to see who has tagged your nearby location on their stories or public snaps. Now the same feature will be there on Instagram as well.

How To Use The Instagram Maps Feature?
You will see a ‘Map’ icon at the top of your inbox, highlighting the maps feature. When you click on this icon, you’ll get all the live updates around your location. The profile picture of any private account tagged on that map will be hidden, whilst the public accounts and stories will be visible.
