Fursat And iPhone 14 Pro
The movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and shot using an iPhone 14 Pro narrates the story of a man named Nishant who gets his hands on an ancient relic called Doordarshak that tells him the future. However, his quest to control the future leads him to risk his present and lose the love of his life. Talking about the title of the film, the director says that ‘Fursat’ for him means freedom or leisure. “We are all running after what will happen next or pondering over what happened in the past. Amid this, we are losing our moment of leisure, our freedom to live the moment.”
The director also shared how hiring equipment meant burning a big hole in the pocket. But now with a gadget in your pocket, all that you need is a good script. Talking about shooting the film on an iPhone, the director says “A traditional film camera comes with 10 people, 3 attendants and 10 boxes of lenses, you can’t move around. You can’t be quick. iPhone liberated me in that sense. I’ve never had this kind of scale in my films ever before. And this can tell you about the scale iPhone can achieve.” The film is available to watch on the official Apple India Youtube channel.
