During the OnePlus 11 launch event, OnePlus publicly teased the imminent release of its upcoming foldable phone. Furthermore, the launch is scheduled for a Q3 2023 launch. According to a recent leak, the OnePlus Open will be available to customers from August 29th, with reputable tipster Max Jambor supporting the leaked launch date in a recent tweet. The global launch event will take place in New York. However, the exact availability date for the purchase of this new device remains unknown at this time.

- The OnePlus Open will sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, accompanied by a 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display boasting a 2K resolution and the same high refresh rate.
- The OnePlus Open will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, delivering powerful performance to the device.
- Users can expect generous RAM and storage options, with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage available. The phone will be having a 4,800mAh battery pack and support for rapid 67W wired charging.
- In terms of photography, the OnePlus Open will feature a triple camera setup. Which is consisting of a 48MP main, 48MP ultra-wide, and 64MP telephoto lens.
- Additionally, for selfies, it will offer a 32MP front camera on the cover screen and a 20MP sensor on the inside.
- Running on OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13, the software will provide a seamless user experience for OnePlus Open users.
Although pricing details for the OnePlus Open are still not available. It anticipates following OnePlus’ customary strategy of aggressive pricing and undercutting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The brand recently unveiled the new Nord series of smartphones. Also, expected to continue its streak of phone launches this year with the OnePlus Open being one of them.
