The highlight of the BGMI 4.2 update release is the new Primewood Genesis theme mode. This mode transforms the battleground into an evolving world where every match contributes to shared progress. Instead of a static seasonal theme, the environment changes over time based on player actions.

At the center of this mode is the World Tree. Every match helps restore and grow it, unlocking new abilities for the community. The map now features mutant plants, changing structures, and control zones that encourage teamwork, exploration, and tactical play.

- Primewood Heart
Allows players to control shields, teleport gates, and healing zones - Magic Seeds
Grow across matches and can be harvested for rewards - Hostile mutant flora
Guards high value loot and special chests
New abilities and creatures added with this mode:
- Florawings for short flights and quick movement
- Targeting Vines to trap enemies or create breakable shields
- Honey Badger Overgrowth Variant with explosive seed attacks
- Bramblewood Scorpion, a stealth vehicle that can burrow
- Cherry Blossom Deer, a two seater fantasy vehicle for fast travel
Royal Enfield bikes And Peaky Blinders Crossover Confirmed
Another major highlight of the BGMI 4.2 update release is the set of new collaborations. Krafton has partnered with Royal Enfield to bring real world bikes into the game for the first time.
From January 19, players will be able to use:
- Royal Enfield Bullet 350
- Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
The update also adds characters from Peaky Blinders, along with a Thomas Shelby voice pack.
In addition, seasonal events linked to Indian festivals are part of the update. These include a Republic Day Exchange with permanent rewards and a Holi Exchange offering themed items.
