Apple is set to open its third retail store in India, this time in Bengaluru. The new store comes ahead of the Apple iPhone 17 launch. Apple already runs two flagship stores in Mumbai and New Delhi. This move shows Apple’s growing focus on India despite US trade tensions.
Apple New Store Details
Apple has leased 8,000 square feet at Phoenix Mall of Asia in Bengaluru. The store is smaller than the Mumbai store but matches the size of the Delhi outlet. Apple signed a 10-year lease, paying ₹2.09 crore annually. For the first three years, it will also pay 2% of the store’s revenue, increasing to 2.5% from year four.

India’s Growing Importance
India is now Apple’s fourth-largest market, behind the US, China, and Japan. In 2024, Apple had shipped 12 million iPhones in India, up 35% from last year. The company grabbed a 10% market share in the last quarter, driven by demand for Apple iPhone 15 and Apple iPhone 13. Apple remains committed to India despite US pressure to limit manufacturing expansion.
