According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will be adding additional Mac models during the year. In a new Power On study, Gurman claims that seven new Apple Silicon-powered Macs will get released in 2022. These will come with the unreleased M2 chipset, the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets from last year, and super-powered M1 Max chipsets.

Apple’s initial event is to take place in March; therefore, the following Mac announcement is likely to occur then. Given that the MacBook Pro and Mac mini are the two oldest Apple Silicon Macs in the current lineup, they may be the first to receive an upgrade.

As soon as the reported event is on March 8, 2022, we may undoubtedly expect a new Mac mini and an entry-level MacBook Pro. According to Gurman, Apple is expecting to unveil a new generation of Macs in May or June. The new iMac Pro and the new Mac Pro, which will have the M1 Max’s super-powered variants, could be the centrepiece of the second round for its releases.
