Motorola Capri, Capri Plus To Launch In Q1 2021: Report

  • According to reports, the Lenovo-owned company is reportedly working on two new budget smartphones. Motorola Capri and Capri Plus (or caprip – not the official name) can be two new offerings from the company. Moreover, the two phones are expecting to launch in the first quarter of 2021. A new report emerged online that shed some light on both the phones. It reports some key specifications and features of both the smartphones.

    Furthermore, Motorola Capri reportedly comes with model number XT2127. Whereas the Capri Plus comes with model number XT2129. The reports suggest that the former can come with a 60 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the latter can come with a 90 Hz refresh rate.

    Let’s take a closer look at the Motorola Capri and Capri Plus leaked specifications.

    Motorola Capri Specifications

    As per a report by TechnikNews, in collaboration with Adam Conway from XDA Developers, Motorola is working on two budget phones. They can be Motorola Capri and Capri Plus (or Caprip). The regular variant may feature an HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and may come with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The phone may power on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor with Adreno 610 GPU.

    In terms of optics, the XT2127 model comes with a 48-MP “s5kgm1st” primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor (ov02b1b), a 2-megapixel macro sensor (gc02m1), and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (s5k4h7). It is also expected to come with NFC support. Additionally, Motorola Capri can come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

    On the other hand, Capri Plus can feature a 90Hz display with an HD+ resolution. This model may come with 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB storage configurations.

    For photos and videos, it could feature a 64-MP mary (OV64B) sensor, a 2-MP lens from OmniVision (ov02b1b) for depth information, a 13-MP ultra-wide-angle sensor from Samsung (s5k3l6). At the front, it may carry a 13-MP (s5k4h7) selfie-cam.

    Subsequently, Motorola is also expected to launch a flagship smartphone in Q1 2021 that has the codename ‘Nio.’
