The Indian smartphone market is very competitive, especially in the budget range segment. We get to see various smartphone companies launching their new devices every single month. Like every other month, we have also got several launches in May 2021. 

Although not a lot of big flagship smartphones were launched this month as we saw in March and April. But still, we got some great options mainly in the mid-range segment and few flagships by Vivo. In this article, we will list all the new phones launched in May 2021.

1. Tecno Spark 7 Pro

Tecno Spark 7 Pro is the latest offering by Tecno that was just launched last week on May 28. The device features a 6.6 inch  IPS LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 and currently runs on the latest Android 11.

In the camera section, it offers a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an AI lens. There is a single 8MP camera in the front with an f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone comes with a 5000 mAh battery that doesn’t support any fast charging. It is available in only two variants 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB that costs Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 10,000 respectively. 

2. Infinix Hot 10S

Infinix Hot 10S is another budget range smartphone launched in May this year. This device features a 6.82 inches IPS LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The processor used in this device is a MediaTek Helio G85 which is a pretty common processor in this mid-range smartphones.

The device comes with Android 11 and they have also given their skin an update by their new XOS 7.6. It features a triple camera setup at the back that consists of 48MP wide and 2MP depth sensors. The front camera is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The battery life of this device is superb as it features a 6000 mAh battery. Although this device does lack in some departments like camera, Type-C port, etc. But it’s a value for money deal as its price ranges from Rs. 9,999 to Rs. 10,000 for two different variants.

3. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S

Redmi Note 10S was launched on 15th May and is the successive model of Redmi Note 10. This smartphone has a 6.43 inches AMOLED display with 1100 nits brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset with Andoird 11 and MIUI 12.5.

The device features a quad-camera setup at the back that includes a 48MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth cameras. In the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera.

It comes with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The smartphone has an elegant, sturdy design and a great display. The cameras are also up to the mark. But it does lack in performance due to its processors. The pricing starts from Rs. 14,999 to Rs. 15,999.

4. Oppo A53s 5G

Oppo A53s 5G

Oppo A53s is one of the most affordable 5G devices available at this time. It features a 6.5 inch IPS LCD display with 270 PPI pixel density. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 MT6833 chipset and running on the latest Android 11.

The device gets a triple camera configuration in the back including a 13MP primary camera, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera at the front.

The smartphone offers a 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. You can get this device for Rs 14,990 for the 6GB variant and Rs 16,990 for the 128GB one.

5. Realme X7 Max 5G

Realme X7 Max 5G

Realme announced their latest 5G smartphone on 31 May. This device gets a 6.43 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits max brightness. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G which is a very fast chipset and gives a very smooth experience.

There is a triple-camera setup at the back consists of a 64MP Wide camera, 8MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera, and a 2MP macro camera. A 16MP f/2.5 selfie camera is placed at the punch hole camera.

The Realme X7 Max 5G gets a 4500 mAh battery with 50W fast charging which is quite fast. The pricing of this smartphone is Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs. 29,999 for 12GB/256GB.
