iQOO FunTouch OS 13/ Android 13 – Everything We Know So Far
It is expected that the parent company of iQOO Vivo will announce the Android 13 stable update in April 2023. As both iQOO and Vivo smartphones run on similar software, we can assume that an Android 13 update will be there around the similar time structure for iQOO devices, just like Vivo smartphones. Of course, no official announcement from the company yet, but we can expect the release date according to previous patterns.

Upgraded Theme Engine
FunTouch OS 13 will be more polished compared to FunTouch OS 12, along with more colour options. Already there are many options incorporating dual-tone colours are present. However, the new UI colours will be applied to system apps and some UI elements. It will add consistency. Here the great thing is that you can apply theme colours to app icons.

Brand-New Permission For Notifications
This new feature will provide users more control over which apps can send notifications. Whenever you install any new app, it will ask you whether or not to send notifications explicitly. If you allow, you will get notifications from that specific app.
Hide Photos
With FunTouch OS 13, you will get a built-in album app. Select photos -> click on the menu button -> click the “Hide” option. You can find these hidden photos under the app’s settings options.

Per-app Language
With this excellent feature, users will be capable of using an app in a specific language without affecting any other app’s system language. To set this, all you need to do is go to settings -> then click on apps -> after that click on all apps -> select any app.

It is expected that the Android 13 beta update for iQOO FunTouch OS 13 will release in December 2022.

If you own iQOO 9 Pro smartphone, you can register for the Android 13 Preview Program. iQOO will accept only the first 500 users into this program. Make sure your smartphone system version is 12.0.5.8. Only then will you be eligible for the program. If you get selected, you can experience and test the FunTouch OS 13 from August 23, 2022.
To participate in this program, click on settings -> go to system update -> click on settings icon -> click on trial version.

Google has begun rolling out Android 13 beta 3 along with platform stability for Pixel smartphones. We expect that iQOO android 13 can release anytime soon.
