Google Pixel 7 Price In India

The Google Pixel 7 retails for Rs. 59,999 in India. The price is for the single available variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Nonetheless, there isn’t any news about Google manufacturing the phone in India. Considering the import taxes and duties on smartphones and the fierce competition in this price segment, the smartphone’s price is quite competitive.

Further, the smartphone packs a 4,355mAh battery. The smartphone also supports reverse wireless charging and 30W wired fast charging. As for the storage, the phone only comes with a 128GB internal storage variant. It also ships with Android 13, right out of the box, which was launched in August this year. You will receive five years of OS updates from Google, with monthly security updates as well.

Since all the specifications of the Google Pixel 7 have finally been revealed, we now take a look at all of its features and design.

Google Pixel 7 family

The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro had already reimagined the Pixel design. Both smartphones featured a premium finish and a raised strip that protects the camera lenses. With Google Pixel 7, the design hasn’t changed apart from some subtle and minor improvements. Official pictures suggest that the camera module has a few changes, and the raised strip will bend around the smartphone’s frame.

Further, the Google Pixel 7 has a 155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7mm body. With these dimensions we can confirm, the smartphone is much thinner than the Google Pixel 6. This is a welcome change as one of the major downsides of the Google Pixel 6 was its size and thickness.

The Google Pixel 6 sported a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with HDR10+ support. Now, its successor features a slightly smaller 6.3 inch display while keeping the other features pretty similar. You get a similar 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED display, with HDR 10+ certification.

Further, the Google Pixel 7 has a peak brightness of 1400 nits. Moreover, it has a pixel density of 416 ppi. You also get Widewine L1 certification. The Pixel 7 sports a 1080 x 2400 resolution, and the panel’s peak refresh rate is 90Hz, with no LTPO variable refresh rate support.

Google had shifted to their proprietary Tensor chips with the Google Pixel 6 series. Earlier, Google had partnered with Qualcomm to produce Snapdragon chipsets for their smartphones. Since the Tensor chips have been a significant success, we see an upgraded Tensor G2 chipset in the Pixel 7. This new chipset will uses a 4nm fabrication, with Cortex A-55 and Cortex-X1 cores. However, the chipsets aren’t a major upgrade from the last generation Tensor G1, as the Cortex A-55 uses an Armv 8 architecture. For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processors use an Amrv9 architecture.

Moreover, Google’s main focus with an upgraded Tensor chip is on improving the GPU architecture and machine learning. Hence, the Pixel 7 comes with a Mali G710 GPU.

Google’s Pixel series is renowned for its impeccable camera sensors and software optimisation. With Pixel 7, Google comes a dual camera system at the back. The camera sensors are also the same, if we compare it with Pixel 6, with Samsung GN1 for the main camera and Sony IMX381 for the ultrawide sensor. The sensor is also the same for the selfie shooter, using Samsung’s 10.8 MP 3J1. Nonetheless, software improvements means that the Pixel 7 will be able to record front-facing videos at 4K 60fps resolutions.

Pixel 7 will feature a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 10.8-megapixel front camera. The front camera will also have 4K video recording support.
