infinix hot 10

The first device to launch in the month of October comes from Infinix, in the form of the Infinix Hot 10. The brand recently went through a list of changes, which included a shift in the processors featured on the devices, which received a major bump from the weak Helio A22 or P22 to the P70 and G70, which are much more powerful in comparison.

In terms of cameras, there is a quad-camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel sensor, 2MP macro, 2MP depth sensor, a low-light camera with an 8-megapixel selfie sensor. The Hot 10 features a 6.78-inch HD+ display coupled with a punch-hole camera to the top. The device is powered by the Helio G70, coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The device is backed by a 5200 mAh battery, which means it is also a battery champ considering the price. In terms of the pricing, the device is priced at INR 9,999 for the base variant.

2. Motorola Razr 5G

Up next, Motorola announced the 5G variant of Motorola Razr with a few improvements to the overall folding mechanism and a lot more. The Motorola Razr 5G features a similar 6.2-inch POLED panel, but with a refined hinge. The cover display is retained, with newer and more useful features for the same. In terms of performance, there is an upgrade compared to the 2019 variant, in the form of the Snapdragon 765G.

For the cameras, the sensor has been upgraded to a 48-megapixel sensor from the older 16-megapixel sensor. In terms of Indian pricing, the device is priced at INR 1,25,000 for the 8+256GB variant of the device.

3. Poco C3

Poco C3 Price And Specs

The Poco C3 was the third launch of the month, with the brand focusing on the budget segment instead of targeting the mid-range crowd. This device is somewhat of a rebrand, considering that it shares most components with the Redmi 9C, but, that is not a bad thing.

The device features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel and a water-drop notch on the same, which houses the 5-megapixel selfie camera. The cameras on the rear are a triple camera affair, with a primary 12-megapixel sensor. As for the performance, the device is powered by the Helio G35, which is not bad, considering the price. Now that we are talking about the price, the Poco C3 is priced at INR 7,499 for the base variant, with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.

4. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

galaxy s20 fe

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was well, how to put it, weird. The device made the recently launched Galaxy Note 20 from the brand look like an overpriced device, considering the similarities that both devices possess. But, that is a tale for another day. The S20 FE features a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel, with a refresh rate of 120Hz, similar to the regular S20 lineup. In terms of performance, in India, the device is powered by the Exynos 990, with global variants featuring the Snapdragon 865.

The cameras are toned down from the regular S20, with 12-megapixel sensors for the three different sensors, instead of larger numbers. Additionally, the device is available in six different colors, which look beautiful and are tailored for different kinds of people. The device is priced at INR 49,999 in India for the 8GB variant.

5. Realme 7i

Realme 7i

Where there is a Redmi, there is a Realme. Right on the heels of the Poco C3 (basically a Redmi) realme launched the Realme 7i, which is a confusing device, considering it features multiple downgrades when compared to the 6i. The device features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The panel is an IPS LCD panel, with a punch-hole to the top.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 662, which is a capable chip, but, no match for the G90T found on it’s predecessor, the 6i. The optics are a bit better, with a 64-megapixel primary sensor coupled with an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and dual 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth. The device is priced at INR 11,999, which puts it into direct competition with the likes of the Poco M2 and the Redmi Note 9.

realme 7 pro

The Realme 7 Pro was launched in September, so, what is it doing in this list? Well, the company decided to add a special edition of the device within a month of it’s release, in the form of the realme 7 Pro Sunkissed Leather Edition.

The device features the same specifications as the Realme 7 Pro, meaning the same AMOLED panel with 60Hz, the same 64-megapixel Sony sensor-based quad-camera stack, and yes, the Snapdragon 720G. The only difference is the back panel, which has been swapped out from plastic back to a leather finish consisting of orange and white colors, which make the device feel premium. Pricing for the same is identical to the normal Realme 7 Pro, i.e INR 19,999.

8. Pixel 4a

pixel 4a design

Google launched the Pixel 4A in India, a few months after its global launch, but, better late than never. The 4a comes with a 5.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, which means that the device is quite small and can be used easily with one hand. This is quite refreshing, considering 6.5-inch displays are considered the normal screen size in 2020.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, which means no 5G support, but, in India, that does not matter as much as in international markets. The device features a single 12.2-megapixel sensor, which coupled with Pixel software means that the device is the best in class for photography and competes with devices way above its price and, with one or two exceptions, beats the rest. The Pixel 4a was launched at an introductory price of Rs. 30,000 but, currently, it retails at Rs. 32,000.

In terms of the other specifications, the device features a 6.8-inch HD+ panel, which is an IPS LCD panel, with a punch-hole to the top. In terms of the cameras, there is a quad-camera stack, with a primary 64-megapixel Samsung sensor. To power this device, the brand also equipped the Camon 16 with a sizable 5000 mAh battery.
