BGMI (erstwhile PUBG) is one of India’s most popular online games today. Despite facing stiff competition from the likes of Garena Free Fire MAX, the original battle royale game still garners a considerable fanbase. Part of its success is due to the constant updates and content that Krafton keeps adding to the game. Not too long ago, the developers added a Ladder Arena Mode to the game. This new mode provides a good challenge to both veterans and newcomers to the game. Here, we’re going to take a look at how you can achieve a good rank in the BGMI Ladder Arena Mode.
The Ladder Arena Mode was added mainly as a mode for players to rank and display their IDs on the leaderboards. This is especially pertinent for players who have found it challenging to rank in the BGMI‘s Classic Mode. As a player, if you can get a good rank at 100 or above, you’ll be entitled to some fantastic rewards. So, let’s take a look at the tips and tricks you need to follow to ensure that your ID is deservedly shown on the leaderboards.

Understand the concept
The Ladder Arena event is time-bound and will close on July 10, 2022. At the start of the event, you start off at the Bronze tier. As you keep playing and winning, you can reach all the way up to the Ace tier. Your final tier will determine your rewards at the end of the event. There is a caveat here, though. As you keep going up the tiers, lack of kills or assists and losing matches will decrease your tier. So, there’s a double emphasis on winning each and every match. The maps chosen by the event are pretty random and can range from Assault to Gun Game to Team Deathmatch. Therefore, you’ll have to be prepared to face all kinds of challenges in this event.
Don’t play with randoms
This is one of the most important tips you need to follow in the Ladder Arena Mode. You shouldn’t play the mode with a randomly assembled squad, as your team will not have any cohesion. Since this mode is time-limited, coordination with your teammates is absolutely necessary. Playing with random strangers online might be fun, but it will significantly reduce your chances of getting a good rank. This is because a few of your squad members may not be willing to play to the team’s strengths. Instead of taking a risk in this manner, find your usual BGMI playmates and invite them to the Ladder Arena Mode.

Play Team Deathmatch
If you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by the competitive nature of the Ladder Arena event, you should head over to the Classic mode and play Team Deathmatch. There’s a good reason for this as well. Playing Team Deathmatch will help you bond much better with your team. Moreover, even the Classic Team Deathmatch mode has plenty of competition, with players vying for the top spot with all their might. Lastly, Team Deathmatch also features plenty of the usual maps that you’ll find in the Ladder Arena Mode. An experience with multiple maps will tell you how to use the maps to your advantage.
Choose close to mid-range guns
Even though sniping and taking a clean headshot from long-range is one of the most satisfying feelings in BGMI, it won’t work in the Ladder Arena event. The maps are smaller, and the players are more aggressive. This makes it difficult for you to camp and wait for the best opportunity for a sniping shot. Instead, you’ll have to choose guns such as Groza and Beryl M762 to ensure you have a fighting chance. If you prefer SMGs, you can also use Vector and UMP45. These guns may not be as powerful or have the range of assault rifles, but they help you move faster and turn around tighter corners. Your weapon must be advantageous to both your gameplay style and the game mode itself.

Do NOT use FPP
Although First-Person Perspective (FPP) gives the game a more realistic feel, it will not give you any advantage when playing the BGMI Ladder Arena Mode. FPP limits your field of view and will severely hamper whatever plans you have of climbing up the ladder. With FPP, you will not be able to turn around in time or have any idea if someone is sneaking up on you. We recommend that you use TPP (Third-Person Perspective) to tackle this game mode, as it will provide you with an almost 360-degree open view of your surroundings. This will make it easier for you to spot danger.
Summing up
The BGMI Ladder Arena Mode is a limited-time event that promises players great rewards if they can make it to the top. Considering the fact that BGMI‘s only server is in India, the competition for this mode is sky-high. So, it’ll take extra effort on the player’s front to ensure they’re able to rank up and show off their IDs on the leaderboards. While it’s a difficult task, it isn’t impossible. Follow your tips and understand the game mode, and you’ll soon become a veritable expert in the game!
