Redmi 9A Sport price in India
The Redmi 9A Sport is available in two storage configurations. Prices in India for the Redmi 9A Sport start at Rs. 6,999 for 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and Rs. 7,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Mi.com has this device in Carbon Black, Metallic Blue, and Coral Green.
Design
Both the Redmi 9i Sport and the 9A sport are similar in terms of design. With a plastic build and a dew-drop notch along with a prominent chin, the Redmi 9A Sport looks similar to the 9i Sport. Also, the Redmi 9A sport features the same Splash-proof P2i coating for making the overall design solid. The major thing that is missing here is the fingerprint sensor and also there is a USB 2.0 charging port which adds more to the miseries. The overall weight is below 200 grams, therefore you’ll be able to carry it easily.
Display
There is no difference in the display of the Redmi 9A Sport and the 9i Sport. The Redmi 9A Sport measures 6.53-inches and is compatible with 400 nits of peak brightness. In addition, the display features a 1500:1 contrast ratio and 20:9 screen-to-body ratio and there is TUV Rheinland certified reading mode.
Performance
The chipset is the same as well. There is a MediaTek Helio G25 process under the hood along with the ARM GE8320 GPU. However, the only thing that differentiates the Redmi 9A Sport from the 9i Sport is the RAM and Storage. The Redmi 9A Sport features up to 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, while the 9i Sport features 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. So, you can anticipate somewhat lower performance here. As for the connectivity, the Redmi 9A Sport is compatible with 4G/3G/2G networks.
Camera
The Redmi 9A Sport’s camera setup is its most significant flaw and the same configuration is available in the 9i sports. There is a single 13MP camera on the back of the phone, and a single 5MP camera for taking selfies on the front. As a result, you shouldn’t put too much stock in the camera configuration of this device. Despite the fact that it is possible to record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second, the overall camera performance of this device is subpar.
Battery
Under the hood, there is a large 5000 mAh battery propelling this smartphone. Surely, the battery is capable of providing a full day of usage. However, the charging speed is low here with a 10W charger provided in the box and the USB 2.0 adds more to the miseries. But given the price tag, both the shortcomings are justified.
Verdict
Speaking honestly, if you have to choose between the Redmi 9A Sport and the Redmi 9i sport, it is suggested to go with the 9i owing to its large RAM and storage capacity. However, if you are looking for overall solid performance, you won’t find any of these devices good.
