Vivo Y72t Design
If we compare the design of this gadget to the normal model, we do not notice too many differences in its outward look. The most noticeable difference is in the camera module, which has been modified to include one less sensor. However, despite its prominence, it retains some bevels compared to other models in its price range, making it more visually interesting. To put it all together, the phone weighs roughly 200 grams, which means it’s not exactly a featherweight.
Vivo Y72t Display
The display of the Vivo Y72t is a 6.58-inch LCD with a Full HD+ resolution that is 2,400 by 1,080 pixels. The top of the screen has a cutout that looks like a water droplet. In addition to that, it features an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 401 PPI. Sadly, some costs were reduced in the production of the phone, and as a result, the display features only a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It’s disappointing to discover that this smartphone only has a 60 Hz of refresh rate when other modern gadgets have at least 90 Hz built in.
Vivo Y72t Performance
The Vivo Y-series smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU that also has an integrated Mali G57 graphics processing unit. The mobile device also comes equipped with 8 gigabytes of LPDDR4X RAM and can accommodate up to 256 gigabytes of UFS storage. The operating system on the smartphone is called OriginOS 1.0, and it is based on Android 11.
This is just another component of this phone that does not live up to expectations. Admittedly, Android 12 has been out for sale for over a whole year, and Google has already been working on getting Android 13 ready for release. Because Vivo has a reputation for releasing software upgrades slowly, if you need Android 12, this phone may not be your best choice.
Vivo Y72t Camera
The Vivo Y72t is equipped with a dual camera system for the back. It comes with a primary camera with 50 megapixels and a macro camera with 2 megapixels. In addition, the phone contains a basic 8-megapixel camera that can be used for taking selfies and making video calls. The Vivo Y72t is not a competitive device in terms of camera setup, since there is no ultra wide angle lens and there are multiple other features that have been omitted.
Vivo Y72t Battery
A large 6,000 mAh battery is responsible for keeping the lights on. When it comes to the capacity of their batteries, low-end smartphones almost always come through with flying colours. Unfortunately, because there is only 18 W fast charging available, the process of refilling this battery will be difficult.
Vivo Y72t Verdict
Vivo Y72t is a capable device with a humongous battery and a decent processor. However, a few things are missing like more fast charging capacity and an ultra wide angle lens and also there is a normal refresh rate. If you are on with these flaws, you can go with the device. However, there are other competitive devices available in this price range.
