Tecno Pop 5S Launch in India 

The Tecno Pop 5S smartphone was introduced by the firm as an economical option. The Tecno Pop 5S is a budget smartphone that is powered by a quad-core Unisoc CPU and has a dual-camera configuration on the back. The Tecno Pop 5S has been introduced in Mexico, and the firm has not yet said when the smartphone would be available in other regions, including India.

Tecno Pop 5S price in India 

As of the present, the Tecno Pop 5S is only available in Mexico. MXN 2,239 (about Rs 8,000) has been chosen as the pricing. The gadget is available in a single 2GB RAM/32GB storage configuration, as well as in two colour options: green and purple. Tecno has not disclosed any information on the Pop 5S’s India or worldwide availability.

Tecno Pop 5S Design 

Tecno Pop 5S has got a typical old school design with a removable rear panel and a dew-drop notch for the selfie camera along with large bezels around the screen. The smartphone is quite small and there is a power button and a volume rocker on the right side of the device. According to the manufacturer, the phone has dimensions of 148×72.3×9.9mm and weighs 160 grams. There is no fingerprint sensor on this device.

Tecno Pop 5S Display 

The Tecno Pop 5S is a tiny phone, in contrast to the huge handsets that are common these days. In addition, it is equipped with a 5.7-inch display, which is an LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The display has a refresh rate of 60Hz and has a waterdrop notch on the right side of the screen.

Tecno Pop 5S Performance 

The Tecno Pop 5S is an entry-level smartphone powered by the Unisoc SC98623E processor. The quad-core Unisoc CPU operates at a 1.4GHz clock speed. It has a Mali-T820 MP1 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The entry-level phone comes with 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, it has a dedicated microSD card slot for added storage. On the software front, the Tecno Pop 5 runs on the Android 10 Go edition, which is again an outdated spec. The operating system installed is Android 11 with a proprietary HiOS UI on top of it. The Pop 5S has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for connecting to the outside world and transferring data.

Tecno Pop 5S Camera 

The Tecno Pop 5S has a vertical camera strip at the back that houses two sensors. The camera on the back has a 5MP primary sensor and an AI sensor that work together. The 2MP selfie and video call sensor is housed in the dewdrop notch. In today’s entry-level Android phones, this is one of the most common camera layouts.

Tecno Pop 5S Battery 

The 3,020 mAh battery that powers the device is also less than that of the competition, and it does not enable rapid charging. Also, there is a micro USB charging port for connecting the charger. 

Tecno Pop 5S Verdict 

In order to meet the needs of its customers, Tecno Pop 5S is required to provide a little bit of whatever they could need on a regular basis. Even yet, this specific Tecno smartphone falls short when it comes to in-built battery life and working cameras on both sides.
