Samsung has been making the Galaxy M-series phones more audience oriented. With the Galaxy M53 5G as the latest edition to the lot, it seems to be a promising upgrade and comes with exciting new features which I am sure you guys don’t want to miss, at least in this price segment.
I have been using the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G for the past one week and here’s my first impression. Make sure you give this article a 3-minute read to know those 5 reasons why I am saying the Galaxy M53 5G is the best value for money mid-ranger in the market right now.
Reasons To Buy Samsung Galaxy M53 5G
Minimal and Elegant Design
I have always admired the Samsung phones for how minimal and no nonsense design and look they come with. The Galaxy M53 5G is no exception since it comes with a very clean design. Single handed usage is so convenient since it’s very lightweight and slim.
Just surprised, they were still able to fit in a 5000 mAh battery in this sleek body. I am sure your parents would love this appearance of a phone if you were planning to gift them one.
Enhanced Performance
Many phones in the mid-range segment compromise on one major factor which is performance in an attempt to offer other features. But, the Galaxy M53 5G rather comes packed with enhanced performance features. It is powered by the 6nm Mediatek Dimensity 900 Chipset which is a 5G chipset. Here you get support for 12 5G bands hence it’s future proof.
Samsung M53 5G also features RAM Plus technology that provided upto 16GB of virtual RAM for your multitasking needs. The 8GB RAM model will support up to 8GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM model will support up to 6GB of internal storage that can be used as virtual memory to improve app performance. You also get a segment-leading vapour cooling chamber that allows you to push your limits while gaming without letting it heat up.
Optimised OneUI based on Android 12
There’s no denial about the minimalism OneUI offers in terms of user experience. Here in Galaxy M53 5G, with the OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12, Samsung is making way for customisations as well to make the interface more intuitive. Like you can personalise the colour pallete of the phone based on colours from your wallpaper which gives it a more stock Material Theme look.
There’s Knox Security and Secure Folder which I can clearly see but I am not able to find the NFC support here, which was there in the Galaxy M52. To top it up, Samsung has promised 2 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of Android security patch updates in the latest M-series phones.
Upgraded 108MP Camera System
Samsung even upgraded the camera system from a 64MP primary camera to 108MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. Inside a tiny punch-hole there’s a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
There are a lot of interesting features as well added in the camera app which we will talk about in our camera comparisons.
Multimedia Experience
I love how the displays make the smartphone look more appealing. I am talking about this 120Hz sAMOLED display of the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G which is so crisp and bright. This Full HD+ display is also protected by the Corning Glass 5 on the front.
There’s just a slight chin at the bottom, otherwise the display bezels have been reduced to minimal. Surprisingly, there’s no way to adjust the refresh rate between standard and 120Hz. Even though the dual stereo speakers remain missing in the M53 5G, Dolby Atmos surround sound support compensates for it.
What went missing?
- I seriously wanted the charging adapter to be included here in the box itself given that there is support for 25W fast charging.
- There are a few pre-installed apps that you see here that are definitely not very useful. But yes, all of them can be uninstalled so I’d suggest you do that the moment you set it up.
Verdict
In my initial days of using the Galaxy M53 5G, I am certain to say that this one is a great addition to the ₹25,000/- price segment keeping in mind this beautiful display, minimal design, and latest software update. Let’s see how the Galaxy M53 5G comes out in long term. Stay connected
