In 2017, Xiaomi launched its first selfie-centric smartphone, the Redmi Y1, which quickly became a hit with selfie lovers. In 2018, the smartphone giant attempted to revamp its game with Redmi Y2. At first glance, Redmi Y2 will strike you as an amalgamation of Mi A1 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It is basically Xiaomi’s strategy of rebranding Redmi S2 that was launched in China.

In India, Redmi Y2 is available in two storage variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant priced at Rs. 9,999 at the time of launch is now available at Rs.5,999 and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant in black colour, officially priced at Rs. 12,999, is now available to buy at Rs.7,499 from the Xioami India official website. There are three colour options for the phone – Elegant Gold, Rose Gold, and Dark Grey. You can either buy it from Amazon India or Xiaomi’s own Mi.com.
Redmi Y2 is still a deal for budget smartphone lovers at special discounted prices. You can definitely consider the newer models available in the budget segment.
