POCO X8 Power vs Motorola Edge 70 Pro: Price In India
The POCO X8 Power 5G starts at ₹35,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model costs ₹38,999. It will go on sale in India from September 11 via Flipkart, with launch offers available.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro starts at ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB + 256GB version is available at a higher price.
Poco X8 Power vs Motorola Edge 70 Pro: Design And Display
Both phones have different appearances, but the Poco X8 Power is thicker at 8.5mm due to a large battery and a plastic back. Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro has a thickness of 7.2mm and a silicone polymer (eco leather) back.
Poco X8 Power also comes with an IP68/IP69K rating for dust-tight and water-resistant protection. So, it can resist high-pressure water jets and is immersible up to 2m for 30 min.
However, the Edge 70 Pro has only IP68/IP69 dust-tight and water-resistant protection. In terms of weight, the Poco X8 Power is heavy at 229 grams, compared to the Edge 70 Pro at only 183 grams.
Moving to the display, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, PWM, HDR support, and 5200-nit peak brightness.
On the other hand, the Poco X8 Power has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and only 3500 nits of peak brightness. Similarly, the X8 Power has a better Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 display than the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i in the Edge 70 Pro.

The POCO X8 Power features a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, along with autofocus support. For selfies, it packs a 32MP front camera with autofocus, while the camera system also supports AI-powered imaging features.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 122° FOV and Macro support.
For selfies, it gets a 50MP autofocus front camera, while camera features include Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, HDR, and 4K HDR10+ video recording at up to 60fps.
For battery, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W TurboPower fast charging, offering up to 51 hours of battery life according to Motorola. It also supports 5W wired reverse charging, although wireless charging is not supported on the Indian variant.
The POCO X8 Power 5G packs a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W HyperCharge, claimed to provide up to 3.5 days of battery life. It also supports 27W wired reverse charging, PPS/smart charging, and POCO claims the battery can maintain its health for up to six years.

Poco X8 Power vs Motorola Edge 70 Pro: Performance and Software
The POCO X8 Power is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It is designed to deliver a balance of everyday performance, gaming and power efficiency.
On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, delivering fast and responsive performance.
The POCO X8 Power runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, offering a smoother UI, refined animations and AI-powered features. It is promised four generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making it a strong long-term software offering.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro runs Android 16 with Hello UI, offering a clean and customisable interface with smooth animations and minimal bloatware. It also features Moto AI tools for smarter photography, content creation and everyday productivity.
